Product Description Item No.   10235014

The Arc’teryx Men’s A2B Commuter Long Short is a durable short for biking around town. The fabric is a 60% cotton, 40% T-400 stretch polyester which provides a comfortable stretch with a street look so you can easily hop off your bike and into stores. The outside is treated with 3XDRY, which repels water in case you get caught on the opposite side of town during a rain storm. The longer length provides protection as you bike, while still exposing your knees for plenty of movement. At the cuffs and the back pocket, you’ll find reflective strips for safety in darker hours, which can be tucked away for a clean look once you arrive. Two hand pockets and two back pockets carry your pennies and a zippered thigh pocket secures a important item, such as your wallet.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great shorts, fabric does not resist abrasion well These shorts are great. Fit is bang on, reflective elements are a fantastic idea. Previous posters comment about the belt loop at the back is correct, for some reason it is narrower than the rest, only my Mammut blet can fit through with a bit of pushing. My only major complaint is the material's poor resitance to abrasion. I take the long way home on my commute which adds up to about 1.5 hrs in the saddle. The shorts have started to abrade on the seat and the inside of the legs. Perhaps this is more suited to short, infrequent trips (e.g. rolling a block or two for a late).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great All-Around Short Pants Not being a fan of wearing shorts I've owned many pairs of short pants/long shorts/knickers. I've been a cycle commuter for more than a decade and really appreciate the cut and fit of these pants. Very easy for riding, don't get in the way. I also wore them nearly every day for 2 months while backpacking around Australia and they held up great. I would like to say that the material is not the coolest, doesn't breath that well. It was pretty hot in Aus and i got pretty sweaty in there, so if you live in a hotttt climate keep that in mind. They are fairly water resistant though, might be why they don't breath well, spilling water or light rain rolls right off. I've washed them a few dozen times and still water beads right up. The reflective material has held up too. Great product and I plan on buying a second pair. PLEASE MAKE THESE AGAIN WITH NEW COLORS!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very nice material and fit I would love to give these 5 stars, but there are some issues that needs to be corrected for them to be perfect. The waist of the pants stretch too much! I fit a 33" perfectly when I try them on, but after a couple of hours they feel like a 34-35" (32" is way too small) The zipper is too short, so it's quite hard to use then when going to the men's room.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite shorts I have several pairs of arcteryx shorts. The length is ideal for days that are on the cooler side. They also look righteous. I wish there were more colors, I would buy them all!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Dos not work whit a belt. The shorts it self are actually good. But there is space for improvement if you ask me. The external pocket on the front is a little to small. would be nice if there where space enough for your passport. Then there is the strap for the belt on the back. It is very difficult to get a belt in to it because of the stitching, which also is lower than the others. Even a original belt from Arc´teryx is very hard to get true it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quickly drying shorts with nice safety features for night biking I bought those shorts for my daily bike ride to/from work and so far, they have fulfilled my expectations. They dry super quick after getting wet, are comfortable to wear, have great safety features for biking in the dark on the back pockets, and look causal enough to be worn at work. I only wish they were made in 35 because 36 is too large and 34 just a bit tight for me (190 cm / 90 kg).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Commuter Knickers Made... I purchased three pairs of these knickers the first of the summer and wear them every single week commuting back and forth to work. Fit is great (34), they wear well and are easy to clean. The only thing I would like is maybe some in a tall size or at least an inch longer for my 36" inseam and another color so I have a little variety in my daily dress.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great work pants Fantastic for my daily commute and to wear to work. The fit is outstanding. I just wish it had more pockets (cargo side pockets would be a nice addition), and that the back pockets were a little deeper. They don't quite fit my Nexus 6P.

• Please note that all the info provided above refers to body measurements, and NOT the dimensions of the garment.

Next to Skin Fit - These snugly-fitting garments are made with stretch fabrics to fit next to the skin to enhance moisture management and thermal efficiency. Garments in this fit category when constructed using Arc'teryx's heavier-weight AR and SV fabrics also perform very well as mid layer pieces, and users should consider selecting a larger size to accommodate a base layer underneath if the intention is to use this layering system as a mid layer option.

Trim Fit - Trim-fitted garments share the motion-friendly traits with Arc'teryx "Athletic" fit garments, but are patterned with lower volume for reduced bulk. These close-fitting pieces layer well under other garments.

Athletic Fit - This is the "Arc'teryx Standard" fit. These complete patterns utilize anatomical shaping and gussets to enhance motion by minimizing excess bulk. Easy layering under or over each item extends seasonal versatility and comfort.

Relaxed Fit - Relaxed fit garments rely on higher volume patterns and a reduced amount of articulation to offer roomy mobility.

Expedition Fit - Cut roomier than the Arc'teryx Athletic fit and suitable for winter/extreme conditions, Expedition (XPD) fit garments are cut larger to accommodate multiple layers without binding or restricting movement.

• You can find the fit type and additional fit info for Arc'teryx styles in the product description FEATURES and SPECIFICATIONS.
