The Arc'teryx Altra 65 LT Pack is a hiking pack for weeklong trips into the backcountry. The Altra 65 is made with a lightweight, durable fabric to stand up to extended time in the woods. The Altra series is built to be efficient, with easy access to items via the side zippers and WingMan pockets, which are accessible without having to remove the pack. The C2 suspension system has adjustable shoulder straps so you can fine tune the fit and a load transfer hipbelt, which rotates slightly while you move, taking stress off of your back. The front kangaroo pocket separates items like your rain jacket and pants or even a damp rain fly, so your other gear stays protected. A separate zipper at the top of the bag allows you to refill your hydration bladder on the fly. Pack the top lid with small essentials or lighten the load by leaving it at home.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well worth the investment The old saying "you get what you pay for" is absolutely true in this case. The quality of this bag is second to none. It's one of the lighter or its size, though there is no doubt in my mind this thing will likely outlast me. Zippers are smooth and burly, with great access to the main compartment (through the top and down sides). The load transfer disk, despite sounding like a gimmick, really does make a difference, and makes this pack extremely comfortable to wear, even at heavier loads. Pack easily expands in size, and cinches down for smaller loads. Arcteryx has amazing customer service as well, meaning if you need a smaller (or larger) waist belt or something of the like, it can be done. Overall, very happy with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It pays for itself While the price being $450 sucks, the pack ends up paying for itself. I've used this pack from weekend trips to weeks on the AT and this thing is comfortable. I tell people it's the Cadillac of the backpacking world. The hip belt really relieves a lot of the stress on your shoulders and the swivel is real smooth. Make sure you put the lube in the disc or it'll squeak till the cows come home. Overall, this thing is tough and I expect to use this till I'm 80.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazingly Comfortable This pack has everything you need to go on anything from an overnight to a 2 week trip. The best feature is the suspension system that works through the waist belt that attaches to the pack with a disk that allows it to rotate with your hips. It acts like a well tuned suspension. Be sure to grease it with the included grease pack so it doesn't squeak. This is by far the biggest issue with the pack, but the grease pack clears this up immediately.,,,,The pack has a great mid pocket tons of room and a pretty good sized top pocket for easy access items. The wingman back/side pockets are incredibly useful for items you can stow and reach while you walk. When you get to camp you can also unbuckle the 6 main buckles and unzip the entire main pack for easy unloading of anything from the top to the bottom of the pack. ,,,,It may be pricey, but it will last a lifetime and nothing is more comfortable. Go get one!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Pack! At first I found myself skeptical of a pack with such a steep price relative to competitors' models. After the first prolonged trip with the Altra however, this was easily forgotten. Initially, one of the best characteristics of the pack is the load transfer disc. What I initially thought was a gimmick did a fantastic job at keeping weight balanced, even over treacherous terrain. Though the number of pockets may be limited, the volume of each is intense. The large side pockets are large enough for a 1.5 liter Nalgene and the lid can hold a variety of easy to access items. The large U-zip is perfect for arriving at a chosen camp site and opening the pack to have immediate access to all main-pocket materials. Additionally, the large number of straps on the pack provide not only great compression for tight squeezes on the trail, but are durable enough to strap/clip in additional gear. Altogether I have nothing but complements for this comfortable, functional, and versatile pack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great weight carrier but not quite the perfect pack Carries weight extremely well, the load transfer disc and fantastic thermo-moulded waist belt make carrying around 50 pounds better than most other packs. Comfort is also really good, 6 hours on the trail each day and no complaints, the load lifters are really effective on this pack. Enough pockets without having too many. The kangaroo pocket on the front is particularly useful for keeping some need-it-right-now items handy. The ability to unzip all the way around makes packing each morning a breeze.,,,,In the top pocket, you will find a small plastic sachet of silicon lubricant for use "down there". Down there being the load transfer disc. Failure to use this lubricant will result in a loud squeak coming from the load transfer disc as it pivots. Your hiking companions will notice and comment.,,,,While the hip belt is great, the pockets on it are way too small and tight. The side pockets are also a bit strange, triangular shape - works better with a soft bottle than a hard Nalgene. ,,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Pack Hesitated to spend this much for a pack. The quality is apparent immediately. Great fit and features. Handles loads easily. Seems impossible for such a well-made pack to weigh so little. I am glad that I made the purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's a great backpack pack! I have used Opsrey, Gregory packs before, so far, this pack has the most comfortable and the belts can be adjusted in many ways!!! The cons are it's not ultra light and it's very expensive.

Women's 25 - 30" 27 - 32" 30 - 35"

How to Find Your Foot Measurements

Arc'teryx packs are sized either in 3-length options: Short (S), Regular (R) and Tall (T), or in 2-length options: Short/Regular (SR), and Regular/Tall (RT).

Sizing refers to YOUR OWN BACK LENGTH

Measure your Back:

• Measure along the spine between the 7th cervical vertebra and the level of the hip iliac crest
• Compare this measurement to the Sizing Charts
• It is possible to interchange different size shoulder strap and hipbelt components on many Arc'teryx Packs, but this will not change or affect the back-length of the pack.
