The Ahnu Men's Moraga Mesh Shoe is a lightweight hiking shoe for hitting the trail. A short hike after work, a full weekend in the backwoods, or just visiting your closest state park for a while, the Numentum® Hike technology provides neutral positioning, keeping your foot balanced, even when the trail isn't. The mesh upper is nice and breathable for staying cool on hot summer days while the water resistant leather upper adds abrasion-resistance and sheds light rain showers. An EVA midsole cushions from below and the rubber outsole is lugged for traction.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outta the box comfort! This is my third pair of Ahnu shoes. Purchased as replacement of Ahnu Coburn, a very durable shoe, but I wanted a lighter & cooler version. Could not be more pleased. As a Type 1 diabetic for 41 years, I'm extremely particular (neurotic) about my feet & what I put on them. Great comfort with minimal break-in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best hiking shoes I've ever had Bought these the night before a big hike @ Zion NP after discovering my old boots had separated at the sole. Didn't have a lot of choices at the store in Springdale at 9pm. I had never hiked in running shoe style hiking shoes before and was skeptical. But, OMG, I love these shoes. Great for day hiking. They are my go-to around town shoes too. Can't praise them enough. I agree with previous poster that the laces are not of the same quality as the shoes: the tips disintegrate. When I hike I have extra laces. Small problem. Great shoese.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great except for the laces I'm on my eighth or tenth pair of these so far, go through two pair a year (I work in a National Park and hike A LOT) - I like the shoes except for the laces, which always wear out WAY before the shoes do - it'd be great if they came with a spare pair of laces or if Ahnu sought a better shoelace manufacturer? other than that tho, I've been totally satisfied - great general use shoe, a little grippier than Merrills on hard surfaces but more durable than the soft Salewas I save for steep climbs on sand covered sandstone

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Favorite Shoes I bought a pair of these 4 years ago. These have seen 8 hour hikes, new cities and deadlifts and they've worn well and never given one problem. They've even survived my dog's teeth a time or two. I'm very happy to see that these are still in production.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding! This is one of the most comfortable out-of-the-box pair of shoes I have ever purchased. Within about 15 minutes they felt like an old pair of shoes. I have Fred Flintstone feet and finding shoes with a toe box that doesn't leave me with corns is difficult. That is no problem with these shoes. I haven't hike with them yet, but I expect that they will be comfortable and competent on our local trails (Great Smoky Mountains National Park).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hiked the Grand Canyon We were heading for the Grand Canyon for a hike and stopped in Sedona due to traffic. I walked into an outdoor store and tried these shoes on and I was sold. I bought a pair and hiked the south canyon rim while telling my wife that my feet were comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hike the PCT in these shoes! I hiked the entire PCT in these shoes. Each pair made it about 800 miles on the well maintained west coast trail. Great balance of breathability and durability. Stiff enough to kick steps into the snowpack, but not so stiff that your harvesting blisters on week one. Wide toe box is great for comfort whether you're just out doing errands or putting in a 25 mile day. Ahnu, planning on buying these as long as you're making 'em.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Shoe I've Ever Owned On an annual trip to Sedona AZ, I decided to get more serious about my hiking footwear. An associate at the hiking store at the bottom of the hill past the "Y" helped me with fitting a new shoe. I tried Columbia, Keen and Oboz but the only ones with a fairly good fit were the Oboz. But not good enough. The toe box area was wide for me and "sloppy" feeling. (I did buy a pair of shoes from him for someone else). I then found these Ahnu's in uptown Sedona at another outdoor store. What an AMAZING find. I took the advice from my professional fitting and ended up purchasing a half size up from my normal size in this Ahnu. Hint: the professional fitter taught me to take out the insert, step on it with all your weight and you should have about a thumb's width between your big toe and the end of the insert. This keeps your toe from jamming the end of the toe box on descents, then lace up tight. I put these on, then hiked about ten miles a day. Although not Everest, Sedona is no joke on some of its trails. I never broke these in, just put them on and went. No blisters, no aching, nothing - perfect. I have just ordered another hiking model/version and I can't wait to get them and try them out! Sorry for the long review. However before I bought the Ahnu's I had just gone to the Podiatrist, was diagnosed with Plantar's/high arches and had custom Orthotic Inserts made. I would rate the Ahnu's out of the box #1, the Super Feet inserts #2 and the very expensive custom Orthotic Inserts last. I am one happy, HAPPY customer!

AHNU FOOT MEASUREMENT GUIDE

How to Measure

1. Draw a straight line, longer than your foot, on a piece of paper.

2. Place the paper on a flat surface. Stand on the line with your heel and longest toe centered on the line. If measuring a child's foot, it may be easier to hold the paper up to their foot.

3. Place a mark on the line at the tip of the longest toe and at the back of the heel.

4. Repeat steps 1-3 for the other foot.

5. Measure the distance between the marks. Taking the larger of the two measurements, use the size conversion chart above to find your correct shoe size.
