What would the approximate temperature rating be for this parka? What country is it made in?
Asked by: staves
Thanks for reaching out to us! Ah...the old temperature question. That old chestnut. So, for the most part, jackets are not temperature rated because there are several factors that affect the temp. This includes wind, humidity, activity level....not to mention the fact that warmth is a subjective thing. That is, it's unique to every person. What's warm to me might be freezing to another. BUT, have no fear...while there is no industry standard for measuring the temperature of the jacket, we can still help you out! From what I'm seeing, this jacket has 200 grams / m2 of Thermolite insulation, which should leave you pretty darn warm! Also, per their website, 'Since 1926, 66°North has operated their own factories. Today, majority of the production takes place in 66°NORTH's factories in Latvia, Europe.' Hope this helps you out! Hugsies.
