Jackets
Winters in Michigan can get pretty messy and I decided to make them even messier when I made homemade slushies using the fresh snow and a little creativity. I was craving a little summer in the winter, so I wore my shorts, flip-flops and a dab of sunscreen and went to town. Actually, I just stayed in my backyard. Yes. I got an epic brain freeze, but my buns stayed warm because I was wearing my down coat from Moosejaw. It was my mom's suggestion. They love that stuff. Moosejaw also carries a lot of brands that make the warmest winter jackets for the coldest slushie-making-sessions, including Arc'teryx, Marmot and The North Face. Only the cool kids get to wear The North Face though. Oh well, maybe next year.
Footwear
Walking around Birmingham can be somewhat uncomfortable, if you're wearing the wrong shoes. Trust me. I have a blister, on top of a blister from a pair of shoes that my ex-girlfriend left at my house. I know what you're thinking, and no, they weren't women's shoes. They were men's shoes that she stole from the guy she was seeing while she was seeing me. Her name was Allison. Don't ever talk to Allison. Had this dude gone to Moosejaw, I probably would've been spared the blister and the broken heart. Head over to our Birmingham shop and buy a pair of shoes by Chaco, Keen or Merrell and don't talk to any Allisons while you're there. The Moosejaw shop in Birmingham also carries TOMS, which I've heard from my mom are supes great for walking around downtown. Get a pair like mine, not like that other dude's.
Climbing
If you visit our Birmingham shop, ask the prettys who work there all about the climbing gear we carry. They seem to know a lot more about climbing gear than hairspray. Good thing we hired Perry for that. Anyways, they will point out all the necessities like carabiners, belay devices, chalk bags, rope and a lot other gear. We carry some of the best brands like Black Diamond, Metolius, Petzl and many more. Bears like Black Diamond. Bears. Beats. Battlestar Galactica.
Backpacking
The first ever recognized form of backpacking was simply a guy getting attacked from behind by a monkey. Bystanders were very impressed by how evenly the beast's weight was distributed over the unfortunate man's shoulders and waist. It wasn't long before a monkeybag, or "backpack", was designed and created. Lucky for you, we carry these monkeybags, I mean "backpacks" at our Moosejaw shop in Birmingham. With brands like The North Face, Osprey, Camelbak and many others, you're bound to be impressed. We have some of the most unique styles and colors in town. Ask any of the shop employees and they will get you set up with coolest looking pack, or at least the one that most resembles a monkey.
Clothing
We know. Your hair looks fantastic. We saw you coming out of Maalouf. But your outfit could use some work. Don't worry, we've got you covered. May I suggest a Lole yoga jacket for the pretty and an Icebreaker fitted tee for the sir? If you're not picking up what I'm putting down, we carry a wide array of products from Arc'teryx, Billabong, Marmot, Roxy, and The North Face including hoodies, pants, and many other types of apparel to complement your new doo.
