Chaco Z2 Sandals
The Chaco Z2 Sandal is pretty much a staple of Chaco's Z Series. Available for men and women, with your choice of two Vibram outsoles and a whole load of nylon webbing colors and patterns, the Chaco Z2 is a decent choice of hiking sandal for just about anyone.
First off, the thing that differentiates the Chaco Z2 from other Chaco sandals is the single strap and the toe loop. The toe loop wraps over your big toe and provides a little more security than sandals without the toe loop. The single strap is fully adjustable, so you can perfectly fit the sandals over your toes, the top of your foot, and around the back of your heel. The adjustable strap thing basically means your Chacos perfectly fit your feet, and you can readjust at any time to keep your fit secure.
If you're talking about Chacos, you've got to talk footbed. Chaco sandals feature the ergonomic LUVSEAT footbed. The LUVSEAT hugs and stabilizes your arch to prevent overpronation and keep your whole body aligned properly. Chaco's sculpted heel cup provides rear foot stability and centers your foot's natural shock-absorbing pad right under your heel bone to maximize comfort. Chaco Z2 sandals feature Chaco's most stable ChaPU midsole profile, which is the most supportive midsole Chaco offers.
Finally, the Chaco Z2 sandal is available with two different outsoles. The Vibram Unaweep outsole, available as the Chaco Z2 Unaweep, provides excellent traction and is a highly durable, making this the Chaco Z2 for slightly more agressive hikes. The Vibram Yampa outsole is 20% lighter, making the Chaco Z2 Yampa the go-to sandal for longer, less agressive hikes.
