These locks are a must have. You dont want your business being messed with so lock it up and feel the comfort of cold hard steel locked down on your rooftop.

"you NEED these" 01/22/13

If you think you need 4 buy 8. If you buy any accessories in the future that take a lock core you will have some that fit the same key. No point in having 2 sets of keys for one system. Just buy extra and thank me later.

"You've got to have them!" 12/26/12

Bad people steal. So you need these locks. They are very easy to install and will give you some peace of mind while your skis or boards are mounted on the rack when you're at the resort, or just stopping at the gas station or restaurant during your trip. Too bad they're not standard when you buy a Yakima rack.

I wish I would have gotten more than needed at the time because now I have 3 different lock keys for ll my racks. I love the key blank so you can pull them out and use them elsewhere.

"Don't skimp on the locks. Added security for your investment." 07/05/12

Trust me, you will need these. Put 1 in each corner of the rack and secure each of your rack attachments with one. No they are not cheap, but it's inexpensive compared to getting your rack stolen!

"Keeps my bikes safe!" 03/14/12

I was always scared to go run into a store or go grab a bite to eat when I had my bikes attached to my hitch bike rack. I've heard of several people getting their bikes stolen when they stepped away for 5 minutes. Now I can leave my precious bikes attached to the rack without having to worry about them getting stolen!

"Definitely worth the price!" 02/26/12

I've never had my racks stolen, but if you ever read any outdoor, vehicle, subaru, kayaking, etc. forums, you will see many people talking about how their racks had been stolen. It is too easy, and takes less than 20 seconds to grab someone's bars and control towers. These locks prevent your bars/towers from disappearing off your roof while you're in a store, or at work, or sitting in your own parking lot. With these locks, the control towers would literally lave to be cut apart (destroying them in the process) to be stolen. They are worth the price for the purpose they serve.

"Lock it or Loose it!" 12/09/11

These core locks are the only way to go! Yakima racks are top of the line and if you do not protect your investment with these core locks your racks (and maybe you gear) could be ripped off. Buy the eight-pack so you do not have to have two sets of keys.
