"The Apoc is the Neoshell to go with if you want to extend the seasons you use it in."

I like to play outside, & when I do, I sweat! I've tried on the Neoshells from North Face, Marmot, EMS... all included a heavier lining layer that would be nice in the winter... but not in warmer weather. As I wanted to be able to use this for at least 3 of 4 seasons, I went with the Westy Apoc.
I just want to warn consumers about the warranty process at Westcomb. "Our product warranty is extended to the original consumer and valid only with original proof of purchase." If that receipt is not at the full price of the product you will not receive warranty service due to purchasing a close-out item. If you are lucky they might give you that amount toward another full priced item. GE is no Gore-Tex when it comes to warranting Event.
I'm 6'1" 170lbs. The medium fits like its tailor made. I would wear this for almost any weather conditions. Dry and comfortable in the heavy rain in New Orleans. Breathes very well, never clammy. Recently skied Telluride and was suprised by the wind protection at high speeds. Hiked Palmyra peak on fairly warm day carrying skis and never felt sweaty - very breathable. Lots of good pockets. Only complaint is the arm pocket is on the right arm (aren't we all right handed?)
"Best shell ever made, should be mandatory that every human wear one at all times."

I've been a gear junkie since my diapers were made of Gore-Tex. This is by far the most comfortable and light weight shell I've ever owned, worn or lusted after. Fit is perfect, not lose but not super tight (I'm 6'2" & 200 lbs,, large fits like a tuxedo on George Clooney with a nano puff underneath). The new shell fabric is quiet and stretchy just like it is advertised. I've yet to wet it out (no rain use, just snow) and have worn it around town and skiing and it has been lusted after by all I encounter. The price is steep but jacket nirvana is priceless.
