The construction of this boot is top notch. I use it for backpacking and early season hunting. My only complaint is the sizing. I wear a 10.5 in almost everything including vasque boots, but for some reason these run a half to a full size bigger depending on the fit you prefer. Great boots; it's just frustrating when you have to exchange boots through the mail.
"I haven't even had these boots for a year and they're blown apart!!"
Never again! I've never had a pair of gortex boots that won't allow my feet to breathe. After seven months the rand blew apart and my toes get wet! I wont even send them to Dave Paige to be cobbled! BAD BOOTS
COMFORT: Vasque has somehow eliminated that "new boot" feel that requires a couple miles to break in. These are extremely comfortable from the get-go, I don't want to take them off! SOLE: The rubber on the sole is very intimidating, and for some reason I don't think grip will be an issue. LEATHER: My only qualm. Just not the same quality as that of the Sundowners produced 10 years ago. Attentive leather care should take care of this issue. CONSTRUCTION: Average to slightly-above average.VALUE: Fairly priced around $190, a steal at 20% off.
