The FlexCams by Trango is a solid, secure and easy-to-use cam. Featuring a mono-cable stem with a thumb loop for flexibility and easy placement the FlexCams are one of the lightest and best value cams on the planet. The direct offset design of the five smallest sizes let you place them in really shallow pockets and, in a pinch, you can hang them off a single pair of cam lobes for hard aid (think shallow pin-scars). All sizes have doubled UltraTape slings so you can clip in at three different lengths.

"nothing too special" 12/15/12
These don't cam nearly as much as the camelots so finding placements is obviously a little harder. I don't like that the heads are different colors because its not as easy to recognize which one you're grabbing off your loops. i very rarely clip these without a sling anyways so the runner on it isn't really a huge score. i still use them but i wouldn't but them again
"High quality cams at a fair price" 08/08/12
I really like these cams. The alternating color system eliminates gear fiddling and allows me to quickly and confidently find the piece I need when I need it. The doubled slings saves a lot of weight and keeps my gear loops from being cluttered up with a bunch of extra slings. I like the longer stem for deeper placements, and I haven't had a problem with these cams walking any more than any other cam. I think these cams are a great value and are a great addition to your rack as well a good option for someone just starting to build a rack.
"these are ok cams..." 12/02/10
...If you are content with ok gear that may potentially save your life then these are fine, but if you want the best go with Black diamond and/or Metolius. The double length sling is nice though. These are not as easy to locate (size) as other brands because they are not as brightly marked, and the numbers get gunked up quick and are hard to read. But they are inexpensive...
"Great Cams" 07/06/10
I've got the 5 and 7 (ordered a 6 too but they ran out). Having used these side by side with the Camalots, I have to say that the Flex Cams hold their own.The Flex Cams have a slightly longer stem, this is a real blessing for deep placements and for retrieving a cam that walked a bit.The expendable slings are useful, but not super useful. Some people have complained that the trigger bar is too small, but I actually found it to be just right.Overall I've been quite happy, and plan on picking up a number 6 as soon as I find one in stock.
