The Therm-A-Rest Down Pillow is a travel pillow that brings ultralight comfort to anyone anywhere. Featuring a soft, brushed polyester cover with 650-fill goose down, it’s pretty much made of fluffy awesome. A perimeter drawcord allows the cover to be cinched down, making it compressible and compact. Extra clothes can be stuffed into the adjustable space between the pillow and cover to customize the firmness of the pillow. Once I had a travel pillow that I named“The Tooth” because it looked and sort of felt like a big tooth. Feel free to call this one “The Cloud” or “The Fluffy Sheep” or something. Except a sheep would probably not make a good pillow.

I ordered this pillow to stuff into my Big Agnes bag (which I LOVE) because the specs where what I needed. Upon recieving this pillow I quickly realized it wouldnt work for me. I prefer to have my head up in a more natural position when sleeping. The pillow is only about 2" thick when out fully (Small = 12"x16" in my case) and with any weight on it you would be better off with your head on the ground. You can stuff a shirt etc into it but that would require drawing it in more losing overall size. If you like a firmer pillow I would recommend going up a size that way you can draw it in and stuff some stuff in.
I got the small and I'll be buying a large soon. The pillow is great, super soft and comfortable... but you have to keep it cinched up so that your head doesnt bottom out on the ground. It flattens out pretty bad. It's not a problem to keep it cinched, but it's hella small when you do. It doesnt take up a lot of space, and weighs next to nothing, so my advice is to size up... you'll be a happier camper.

i went md. cuz who really needs lg? it packs up super small and fits in my overnight pack perfect. On the greyhound, came in great. on my buddies floor that night after the ball game, came in even better. Being able to adjust the firmness of the pillow with stuffing clothes or just pulling the drawstring is ideal. great price, great product. im sure it wont slide outta my sleeping bag this summer either. light weight, great buy. highly reccommended.
