"Useful little pillow" 01/30/13
I got this for my night under a tent when I carry my gear on me. It is light, compressible and expand until it is small pillow. It is hard to say if it would fit everyone. Better try and see if the size/volume fits you. I also find myself using it at home as a desk chair pillow as my chair is wood only!
"Comfortable but must be folded in half for proper head support." 11/24/12
I have used this pillow while camping in both my tent and hammock. The thing I love about it is how well it compresses. The only problem I have with the product is that you must fold it in half in order to get proper head support while sleeping on a flat surface. Other than that it is a very comfortable pillow. I went with the medium and I believe it is the perfect size. I have seen the large and it just seems too big, especially for backpacking.
"Awesome Pillow!" 09/26/12
This is a super comfy pillow that can be compressed easily for backpacking! Very light too. Only recommendation I have is that if you plan on using it, unfold it a few days before your trip for maximum loftyness. If you leave it stored, it may be a little flat when you need it most. I learned this from experience! Overall a great pillow so I bought one for my wife!
"Best pillow (and I've tried many)" 08/16/12
This is the best pillow and I've tried many over the years.. Suitable for any purpose. When this sad little lumpy thing comes out of the pack when you get it delivered, just wash and dry it. It will plump up into a fanastically supportive pillow that you can still squeeze down to carry.I've recommended it to several people. Most people told me the medium was the best size for them.
"Great comfy pillow for long cozy nights" 08/07/12
This pillow is great for car camping. Not the smallest, so I probably wouldn't take it on hikes, but that's not what I got it for. It compressed down enough to save significant room, but still fluffs up enough to provide real support. I tested both the medium and large, and for some reason they both seemed to have the same amount of stuffing. The large didn't seem to fluff up as much, so I went with the medium and it's perfect. Will be getting another one for my wife. Big plus - it's machine washable.
"Great compression feature!" 07/10/12
I just bought this pillow to use in my hammock. You have to fold the pillow in half in order to have enough loft for your noggin but the pillow stores very small which is nice for backpacking/camping/etc. I went with the medium and would recommend it to others. I can see how the small might be too small to be comfortable.
"Travel Necessity" 04/20/12
I use this mostly while traveling; I don't have much time to go camping but I get the impression that it's a little bit bulkier than your typical air pillow. It is however, much fluffier and more comfortable than the air pillows I've used before and I've learned that I'm willing to deal with the extra ounces and cubic whatevers for comfort. As something to stuff in the carryon to make sleeping on the airport benches a little more bearable, or to cushion your head for a long transpacific run it can't really beat.
"no more sleepless nights!!!" 03/30/12
this pillow packs small in your pack. it's a perfect size for any sleeping bag and is very comfortable. i no longer have sleepless nights nor do my neck hurt upon waking up. nicely built and quality
"VERY comfortable love it" 01/25/12
I bought this for my boyfriend who needed it partly for the night shift at the hospital and partly for our travelling/airplane/camping adventures! I got medium. When it first arrives it feels lumpy and nothing like a pillow, but as soon as you wash and dry it it plumps up about 5x the size and is so comfortable that I preferred it to some of my own regular pillows! The fabric is very soft and cozy too. The medium size is perfect not too big but big enough that you can roll side to side and your head won't fall off. I think any smaller than the medium I got would not be enough. Even after it's plumped up to maximum it can squeeze right back down to the size you got it first.
"It works but lumpy" 01/23/12
When I opened the package, the pillow was flatter than Kansas and extremely lumpy. Initially I was going to send it back but after reading the tag, I realized that it said to wash and dry it for "maximum loft". After that, it looks like a pillow should be. I bought the medium in bramble and it will be great. Maybe a bit big for backpacking but for car camping it will be great. Very light weight though if you do happen to have room in your pack.
