I had a version of these mittens that was probably 5+ years old and they were getting packed out and cold so I figured I'd try them again. Upon initial arrival I was disappointed to see that the mitts didn't have the built in finger separators like I had anticipated but I decided to try them anyways. I'm glad I did. They're very warm and do a great job blocking that cold New England wind. I find the long wrist attachments slightly annoying/unnecessary but they're easily removed so no issue. The cuffs are plenty big to get way up over a bulky coat. I do think they run a little bit big, I ordered a women's large and they are a little cumbersome with ski poles but the warmth and quick-dry features make it worth it.
My daughter has always worn gloves while skiing. Her hands are constantly cold, even with those little hand warmers inside. She finally decided to wear these mittens this year and her hands have not been cold once! Not even during this coldest winter ever! The cuffs are long enough to keep out snow and keep in warmth. She LOVES these!
