The North Face Women's Glacier Triclimate Jacket is the perfect outerwear option when you want a jacket and you want your jacket to have a jacket. The liner is a super soft, low-maintenance TKA fleece that is perfect for everyday wear. If conditions get a little colder or stormy then put the HyVent, seam-sealed outer jacket on top of your liner jacket and witness the severe weather protection that the power of two jackets can offer. If the temperatures are mild but the weather is inclement then all you need is the outer shell (aka your jacket's jacket. This "jacket for your jacket" joke got confusing).

SPECIFICATIONS of The North Face Women's Glacier Triclimate Jacket
I bought this jacket because I decided I "needed" a new ski jacket. Conditions at Alyeska (in Girdwood, Alaska) can range from blue skies with negative temperatures to warm and cloudy with a truckload of heavy, wet snow, so I wanted something warm and waterproof. This totally delivers. It's warm as it is, gets super warm when I take out the fleece liner and zip in my down North Face Anacongua jacket, and does great without any liner on warmer days (with appropriate base layers). If you're looking for quality versatility and a cute jacket, this is definitely the one. I will say that I've seen some reviewers caution to err on the side of the larger when ordering NF jackets, but I'd say they're pretty true to size, plus some wiggle room. I ordered to my measurements (I'm 5'6"/135 lbs) and got a medium, but I'm pretty sure a small would have fit. Just a thought :)
I love this jacket. With the cold winters here up north and with the multiple ski trips I take, this jacket is used almost every day in the winter. Whether its going out to the store or chilling on the slopes, this jacket keeps me warm. The shell is also really good for when in rains during the spring and for a wind breaker in the fall. So I pretty much use this jacket 3/4 of the year. Its also great because you can adjust it to what ever warmth you need it to provide. If its a little cold, just wear the fleece, or wear it as a wind breaker, or put the two together and it will protect you from the snow and cold. Awesome jacket!
"Great versatile jacket, perfect for your first buy"
I bought this jacket for my wife for our upcoming ski trip. She needed a jacket with maximum versatility and this fit the bill with the 3 in 1 use. Will be perfect for the days on the slopes when the sun is out and at night when bar hopping. Pick one up, you won't be disappointed!
