"lot of performance for not that much money." 01/29/13
This is a great backpack it is very durable and lightweight. I loved this pack so much that I bought my girlfriend one for christmas. Its plenty large enough for a few day trip. Very comfortable and relatively cheap.
"Great pack for a few days in the wilderness, or a few weeks abroad" 06/07/12
I purchased this pack for a 2 week trip to Costa Rica were we would be volunteering, and moving around a lot. As such, I didn't want to lug around a wheeley suitcase all over the country, but also didn't want an Indiana Jones expedition pack either. This pack fit the bill, as it was able to fit enough clothes, footwear, and nudies mags for the entire trip with room to spare. Overall, I give this pack an A++++++ would buy again.
"Reliable!" 12/09/11
I loved this pack so much that I bought a 35L also. This is a very simple pack for a great price. Its not a very flashy pack but I trust this pack to get make it through all of my shorter hikes. Also a very comfortable.
"good size, good value" 12/04/11
This pack is a great value. Large enough for a long trip and cheap enough for rookie backpackers. Has plenty of room for a sleeping bag, tent, food, clothes and many other misc. items. This pack is light weight and has zippers at the top, side, and bottom allowing you to retrieve items without removing others.
"This pack is a great buy and well worth the money." 12/01/11
This is my first backpacking backpack per say. I am really impressed with the backpack so far and I'm really excited for the summer so I can get some heavy use out of it. I can easily fit all of my gear into the backpack and there is still room for more. This is an essential in an backpackers list.
"Great Pack, Great Features, Kinda Small for Multi-Day Backpacking" 09/29/11
Got this bag because it looks great, tried it on in the store, it feels great and has a lot of cool features, even an included safety whistle! I found this bag to work well under the conditions that I used it for, a weekend backpacking trip. Fit my sleeping bag, tent, water filter, food, extra clothes and the other necessities INSIDE the bag. Love having a place for a Camel-Bak inside, and pockets outside for extra water bottles. The only down side is that it got pretty cramped, I found that there was less room than it looked like it had. Had a lot of support around the hips and shoulders, so for a weekend trip, a good buy, any longer and go with a larger bag.
"Good pack for the money" 02/10/11
I've used this pack for a while now and it is great for weekend trips. Somehow if I take a bigger pack, I always fill it up with useless HEAVY crap. So I'll pack light, take this, and my weekend is a little more enjoyable. This isn't the best for shorter torse people. It is a little long for me and I'm 5'9"
"Very good pack for hiking/backpacking" 12/31/10
I have had this pack for a while now and have mostly been using it for school. I have gone hiking with it multipul times and it is extremely comfortable. Most of the parts are durable except for the straps. On the top of the straps where they are sewed to the main part of the bag the the fabric is tearing but that straps and still very secure. I highly recommend this pack and would buy it again.
"Good deal, rugged material" 12/11/10
I got this bag for a week and haven't really brought it to camping or traveling yet. But it looks cool and it has a really comfy shoulder straps! the material looks really rugged and its not heavy. Good for backpacking and weekend camping! The only think i would like is more pockets on the sides. For this price you can't really go wrong it this!
"Light in weight, but not in performance" 09/18/10
I've been shopping around for a light weight back packing pack, but did not want to spend a fortune. When I saw this baby coming in at only $129, it sounded too good to be true...but since it's North Face (and I'm a life long fan), I knew I could depend on it.Many of the other light weight packs of this size/weight, just seemed so...flimsy. This pack is very well constructed and rides nicely. I took this on 4 days & 3 nights on the John Muir Trail in August and it carried everything I needed in summer time weather. My pack was loaded with 28 lbs (not including water) and carried that load well.
