"Warmth without decreasing dexterity" 05/16/13
I bought these gloves to layer with the Northface Women's Montana Gloves for my study abroad to Antarctica. They were amazing. Thin enough to comfortably fit into other pairs of gloves without decreasing dexterity. I specifically purchased these gloves as they allowed me to operate a camera without exposing my hands to the cold, harsh environment. I could see them being great for mild, dry weather - they were a bit thin and not waterproof enough to use by themselves in my situation. They are the perfect gloves for layering, and using to operate technical equipment in the field.
"Very nice gloves" 03/01/13
I've worn these with good success on windy, chilly days. They do the job they're meant for, which is to keep your hands warm & allow functioning without a lot of bulk when doing normal activities outside. We had an unusual snowstorm here in the southeast, and these got pretty cold after getting wet from throwing snowballs, but they are not meant for this type of activity & shouldn't be relied upon for this. Overall, I'm incredibly pleased with this high-quality, comfortable, functional product.
"Great fit and can layer too" 02/09/13
I bought these for use in the fall/winter and eventually in the early spring for morning walks when the temps are low but not frigid. So far they've lived up to my expectations and have done a good job with keeping my hands warm on moderate days. I've also found that I can use these as a base layer under my other North Face gloves. This is the second pair I bought , to use with different coats, and I can say with confidence that I'd reccomend these gloves to anyone looking for a pair of good light weight gloves.
"Great gloves and very comfy and warm." 12/26/12
The stretch material on this is amazing and you can never go wrong with North Face! I have the Denali gloves as well and these are just as warm! Very happy with my new gloves that I got for Christmas that I just had to come on here and give it a review! Thank you Moosejaw for providing me with more winter apparel!
"great gloves, esp for running in winter or driving any sort of recreational vehicle.." 05/11/12
not ideal for snowball making though. Men who are average height or taller, go Large at least on glove sizes. Medium fits a 5'4 woman much better than a 5'11 male.
"Fails at the mission of being a glove" 01/23/12
I think a glove should be warm, keep your hands dry, and be comfortable, these gloves fail on all accounts. I have several NorthFace products and this is the only one I have given a bad review on. Don't waste your money on these.
"Great gloves for everyday and light trips!" 01/08/12
These gloves serve their purpose: to keep your hands warm. They are nice and thin and not too bulky that would make everyday situations cumbersome, but they are definitely warm. I usually use them for running. I keep them next to me in my tent when I'm out on a trip, and usually use them while I cook breakfast or just wandering around the immediate camp site. Overall great gloves, you will not be disappointed!
"Great gloves for your money!" 01/06/12
These gloves are perfect for cool winter days. They are very flexible so you can use them for many activities in the cold you usually wouldn't be able to with bulky winter gloves. They are very warm and they keep the cold out. Another great product from the North Face!
"Flexible & warmth... great buy!" 01/02/12
I am a photographer & wanted something to give me a little protection, but yet still be able to use the controls on my SLR camera, so many times I'll be out in the winter & have to take my gloves off to make adjustments to my camera, but with TNF Powerstretch, I am able to keep the gloves on & can still easily make any necessary adjustments to my camera! great purchase!
"Nice fast gloves" 12/22/11
Got these yesterday, put them on and they have a nice warm feel to them on the inside. They're not bulky whatsoever and feel like you could grab just about everything with them with no problems. They're form fitting (sort of like neoprene) and their 'radial articulation' or whatever I think means that they won't wear out very fast, but the seams might take a second to get used to. They also have a small, non-obtrusive clip so you can click them together and not lose them, or while cliff-hanging from the gutter of the house after sliding off the icy roof, you could work one off and try to clip it to the other one just for style points. Overall I'm pretty happy. Love me some TNF and Moosejaw.
