The jacket looks nice and wears well, but isn't sized the best. I had to get an XL for proper shoulder fit but it left me with a huge waste line that made the jacket look tent like. I pulled in the drawstrings but it just doesn't look that good that way.
I am a fan of North Face products, especially their Denali jackets. I got my boyfriend a Denali since he is not a fan of sweaters and he doesn't own any jackets. It's recently gotten cold here in the last few weeks and now I've turned him into a believer. It's a versatile jacket that's great for him to take to work or to wear when we go out. Thanks again North Face!
"I was a non believer but now I believe."
For years I did'nt believe North Face was not more than just a style feddish. However this year I decided to try one. The Denali Jacket is all it is cracked up to be. I live in Chicago, it has been in the low 30s already and this jacket has been great, keeps me warm, and comfortable, not heavy easy to get in out of car, walk around shopping, walk dogs, and explore the outside with grandkids.I am a believer, even brought my grandson one, working on my husband. Just a great jacket for warmth without all the weight of a heavy jacket.
This jacket is iconic. Worn by college student everywhere. I wore my Denali all year long in college and it was my go to jacket in all types of weather (except rain). It's super warm, durable, stylish and extremely comfortable. It went through many washes and still is just as warm as when I bought it, the nylon material I'm the shoulders/chest are perfect for holding up to frequent backpack/bag use. The pockets are roomy and I especially love the chest Napoleon pocket, perfect for storing a pack of gum, hidden cash or your cell phone. Sizing is regular. I'm 5'5", 170lbs and wear a medium with plenty of room, All in all, this has been one of my favorite coats I've ever owned, I highly recommended it!
A classic. Guys wear it, girls wear it, even kids wear it. I've purchased 2 of these in the past 10+ years and it's great for wearing to work as well as providing functional warmth in the colder months. I'm not sure if it's advertised to block wind but I remember having to layer another jacket on a snowy, windy day in NY once.
This is a surprisingly warm jacket. I love the extra zippers near the chest for extra storage. The inside of the jacket is fleece material and is super soft and comfortable. The draw strings on the bottom are a nice feature to help keep block cool air from rushing in. The jacket also has ventilation zippers under the arms, which is a great feature for added airflow. Also, the fleece material really helps block wind. This is an outstanding jacket and can be used as a hiking mid-layer or just for everyday use! The jacket is very good quality and is durable enough to hold up to some abuse on trips.
"Too popular for its own good (in my opinion)"
I'll start out by saying that I own this jacket and that it does what it's supposed to do. However, I feel like this is the jacket of choice for hordes of people that just want a TNF jacket. There's nothing wrong with that, but I personally like my gear to be a little bit different than everyone else's. Again, the jacket itself is nice and well-made. I don't think it breathes as well as some other fleeces that I have (especially the Patagonia Cedars Hoody -- check it out), but it is a warm jacket.
