"You want to keep dry don't you? Then get these!"
Ok so I am going on a trip to Canada to go fishing with some friends of mine... yep my first trip not theirs. I check the forecast & it shows possible rain on a few of the 5 fishing days. Fast forward. We get to the fly-in outpost & its raining, no biggie.. & there are some mosquitoes too. We load the float plane, puddle jump over to our private lake, unload the gear & have a few hours of daylight left so we gear up & go fish. I slip on these new TNF Venture pants & head out. Holy cow it starts pouring on us in a steady downpour. Day one... fish in the rain. Kinda neat b/c i'd never "go" fishing in the rain but I'm here and there's nothing else to do. Get home, i'm dry as a bone underneath the Venture pants. Awesome. Day 2,3 & 5 we fish dawn to dusk in the rain...no heavy downpour, no...I think I saw Noah's ark. Home each night, bamm...dry as a bone. These pants rock. They have a great zipper for getting them on & off too. And you can stuff them in their own pocket!- Heck
These pants resist water more than any other pants I've ever owned- and that's their sole function. The very lightweight, flexible nylon material doesn't breathe particularly well but it doesn't have to because you'll be nice and dry on the inside. Because of their lightness, these pants seem designed to be balled up and put in a pack, removed when a cold rain starts and put on over top of whatever pants you're already wearing- I usually wear mine over jeans during rainy football games. The roomy fit, elastic waistband, and awesome velcro cuffs w/ a zipper ensure you won't have trouble wearing these as an outer layer or even have to take off your shoes if you need to get these on in a hurry. Also great- the zippered hip pockets keep items dry.
