"Will keep you dry and warm" 02/25/13
I like this jacket a lot, wind/water proof which is key because I get around on a bike. Basically a shell. Need to wear a fleece or hoodie with it to stay warm. The hood draw strings don't work that great either. Other than those two notes, very good jacket.
"North Face Quality Has Gone Down the Triple Diamonds" 12/13/12
Very disappointed in what North Face has become. Had a hyvent jacket that they claimed was waterproof, but it became sopping wet while skiing in the snow. Ruined my vacation. And this jacket although water proof, I credit gore tex not North Face. The style is crappy, it looks cheap, and where are the pockets? And the removable hood? North Face used to have more options. Now they stamp their logo on a lot of stuff - not embroider. And rarely offer versatile jackets with pockets and removable hoods because it cost more in manufacturing. And some of the colors are so awful. Very disappointed in this jacket and North Face in general.
"Winter Jacket without the bulk" 09/05/12
I'm not a bulky jacket kind of person. I like to be agile so I'm a thin layer kind of guy. This jacked offers a great fit, waterproof shell, and stylish too. The hood adjustments work perfectly. Is there a better jacket for the money? I haven't found it. I'm 5'7 145 pounds (so I'm small), but the small provides plenty of room for one or even two fleece layers underneath should I need them. This is the jacket for those who don't need or appreciate the bulk. Now, where's the snow?
"Yep I LOVEd IT , and so does my nephew !" 01/18/12

"Great Jacket" 01/09/12
Purchased the jacket for my husband and he really likes it.We live in the North East and it keeps him warm and dry on cold rainy/snow days - recommend pairing with any TNF fleece. Only cons: the pockets sit a little too high for his liking and the hood is slightly oversized
"Great waterproof jacket!" 12/28/11
I got this jacket for the wonderful Louisiana winter rains. It is great as a stand alone shell, super water repellent and not bad to wear even when its a little warm (I've only been up to 65 degrees so far). Fit is very good even with jackets zipped in. I have a Khumbu that fits excellent in it and my Nuptse fits well although a little snug. I still have great range of motion, not too tight across the shoulders. I would definitely recommend this jacket!
"Awesome Jacket... Very Versitle" 12/21/11
It is a great all around jacket. It works great as a rain jacket, but works equally as well as a wind jacket. I zipped my TNF Kumbu fleece into this jacket. I use the pair as a winter coat. I have been in the high 20's with it and was very warm and believe the pair can get you down to about 0 with the proper clothing under it. I have not had the jacket long enough for the winter to get cold yet, but it will keep me plenty warm. The jacket is very well made and I dont see having a problem with it. The hood is removable which is nice and the zipper tucks away very nicely. The jacket does have a "spray skirt" but you cant use it if you have a liner jacket zipped in. Over all its a great jacket!
