"Exceptionally good" 03/01/13
I received this TNF TriClimate Libre jacket for Christmas & really can't say enough good things about it.I have the grey/jake blue color scheme which looks great. The middle layer is very warm (300-weight, waffle pattern). Of course, this zips out & can keep you warm in the fall/spring. I brought another zip-in for a bit lighter mid-layer (TKA 200) if your weather is not quite as cold. Outer layer is stylish... great windbreaker & raincoat with high-quality, dense threading (HyVent technology) but is light & breathable without stuffiness. The tighter armpits aren't a big deal for me, but might bother some huskier fellas. A+ all around.
"Great Jacket" 01/30/13
Replaced a bunch off old coats with this one purchase. It's a versatile jacket that will get me through all seasons. The inner shell is perfect for fall and the outer shell makes a decent rain coat. The only thing I don't love about it is the hood - not a great fit.
"My husband absolutely loves this jacket" 01/10/13
I bought this for my husband last year and he was reluctant to get it because he loves his denali and apex so much but I convinced him he needs warm jacket. He has thanked me so many times when it's cold outside because this jacket keeps him really warm and it's stylish too.
"he was pleased" 02/14/12
this is a followup to my other review...bought this for my grandson who is a 6'1" athlete and I'm a 5'2" grandma...so there's a difference. I tried on the coat before I gave it to him for Christmas and as others had noted it even felt a bit snug in armpits for little ole me. But my grandson seemed pleased and didn't want it returned for large (got him med as that was what size chart recommended). But I do think it's too snugly built in armpits. Otherwise he's happy with it, so good reviews....
"Keeps your warm and dry!" 01/19/12
This is a great jacket and I was very excited when I received it. The liner snaps in and out of the outer rain jacket very easily and its all very well made. I honestly get a little too hot sometimes in this jacket it is so warm. Definitely recommended to anyone who is sporty or those that just like to keep warm on wet cold days.
"Great loking jacket, just not a great fit." 01/02/12
I got this jacket for my husband as a Christmas present this year. Was extremely excited as this seemed to be the best fit for his active skiing. The length was great with plenty of coverage. sleeves were a a good fit. The way the zippers are tailored under the sleeves create a restrictive and binding fit. We went as far as to track down a XXL just to see if he needed a larger size. Found one and it was huge ,sleeves were long and it was just hanging everywhere. But sure enough under sleeves were no better. My suggestion would be that you would have to be a an extremely thin and lanky person to where this jacket.
"Got it for my athletic grandson" 12/27/11
This was what my grandson wanted most for Christmas...he's an athlete and out in all kinds of cold (football player). He's super happy with it and I was with the deal from Moosejaw.I got a $51 gift card to spend on something else!!! I checked all kinds of other sites and this was the best deal...some other sites didn't have it in black which was what he wanted.Moosejaw Rocks!!!btw...I filled out my grandson's stats as he's the one who owns the coat...but I'm the one who bought it....was that right or wrong...anyway...give me my rewards points!
"Killer Jacket" 12/18/11
The jacket was backordered and set for delivery after Xmas. I emailed them and got a response in seconds. They worked their magic and it showed up on the 17th. Talk about service you guy’s rock! The Libre is awesome with pockets galore. The insert has 2 inside pockets big enough to seat a small child. The quality of this jacket is great; I've looked it over and can't find a flaw. Like a child on Xmas I had to try it on. I was very impressed! I stayed warm with only a t-shirt. The jacket is true to size. The sleeves seemed long but after cinching up the wrist straps it was perfect. I have 2 complaints: I have to box it up and put it under the tree and buy another for my jealous wife. Thanks!
"Well thought out design" 11/28/11
The jacket has got a number of interesting features. Like being able to upzip from the bottom up so you can gain access to whatever is in your pants (including no.1) without having to hike up the bottom of the jacket when you're zipped in. I do not have problems with the zips getting stuck or snagged whilst trying to zip in the pieces together even with gloves on. Little things like a velvety lining around the collar which contacts your face when fully zipped up adds a nice touch. The velcro wrist fastening straps are very convenient to use but will probably be the first things to fail. I have used it in -15 degrees celcius with 2 layers underneath.
"Great for cold weather, but not below 10 F in my opinion" 11/22/11
This jacket is great for most winters. It is water proof and the fleece is a plus because in mid fall or spring, you can take the top off and get heat from the fleece, but not too much (as like the other triclimates with the semi-down insulation). The design is also great!
"Great Jacket for Skiing" 11/22/11
I so far have enjoyed this purchase specifically the 2 piece system which allows 3 ways to utilize the comfort and warmth of the jacket. If the multifunction is not enough the high quality and bagillion pockets and zippers should put this jacket on the top of anyones list looking to stay warm this winter.
