North face is a great brand..WARM without being bulky! The softshell is great for a quick wipe clean when slighty dirty.. which is necessary with "outdoors" boys whether mountain climbing or even just playing at the park! Size and fit as sizing chart states is accurate!LOVE IT!! and Great deal at Moosejaw!

I love North Face soft shell jackets! They are extremely warm without being so heavy that my kids can't run around, sled, board and maneuver in them! Plus, all the kids at school think he's awesome because he wears North Face !! Softshell is easy to clean; I wll be ordering another one for my other son ASAP!!

My sons, husband and myself all love this jacket, as opposed to the denali jacket, you never have to worry about special laundering (other than basics). Works out perfectly for all in family. It definitely keeps you warm and IS water proof, as well it does a AWESOME job blocking wind...

got for my 11 year old. he loved it. was very impressed. he's sort of a fashionista. i like it because he can wear to church because it looks dressy enough. he has worn it every day to school since xmas. shouldve gotten him a large. got xl because his denali that he's had for 3 yrs was a large. just rolled up sleeves a little and hes good to go.
I bought this jacket for my son last spring. He loves it. He is very difficult to please, especially with jackets. We tried many different styles, what he loved about this was...it is not heavy or thick but does keep him warm. We live in Minnesota and he is still wearing the jacket and it's cold here! He also likes that it does not cuff at the sleeves...which apparently is not cool anymore. He wears it everyday and I wash it frequently, it still looks new!
