The Boys Apex Bionic Jacket by The North Face. Made from virtually windproof and waterproof fabric on the exterior, this soft shell is ideal for trekking, skiing, and snowshoeing in inclement weather. Slight stretch-elastane fabric promotes ease of movement and a soft fleece backer offers a comfortable fit for cold, windy excursions.

"A must have!" 12/21/12

It gets no better than The North Face Apex Bionic jacket. There's no other light weight soft shell jacket that can deliver the warmth of this jacket. It's both wind and water repellant. My whole family has this jacket. An absolute great jacket for the price. Throw in the great Moosejaw customer service and you can't go wrong!

"I've loved them!" 11/02/12

I've had three of these before, and I'm about to order another! They are just so comfy and unbelievably durable. They are very warm cheap for the quality!

"Very nice purchase." 12/21/11

I bought this jacket in the XL for my 10-year-old son. The sleeves are a little long for him, but I thought he would outgrow the large quickly as he had tried on his friend's large. No worries, as he has turned the sleeves up. He loves it and has worn it every day that it has not been below 40 here in Illinois since receiving it a couple of weeks ago. He preferred this style rather than the Apex.

"Durable and warm" 12/06/11

My son wears this coat in all kinds of weather. He is able to layer a hoodie under it. It also has been crammed in a locker and the bottom of a backpack. It still looks great! The fabric holds up to all kinds of abuse and never shows it.

"Great all around jacket for kids on the go, as well as casually cool kids." 11/06/11

My son loved his first one. He outgrew that one, so we're on to the next size up. From hiking, snoeshoeing, beach combing to that "go to" school jacket, it does it all. Great jacket for snow, even pacific NW concrete, heavy snow, and rain. Jacket is very windproof as well. Not the best choice for an all out down pour, but it gets the job done in most situations.

"The BEST wearing jacket for dudes in all kinds of weather." 10/08/10

My oldest son loves this jacket and wears it daily when the weather cools. His brother admired it so much, that I ordered him one for his birthday. Now they will both look like the future MLB players that they are. This jacket has excellent wearability and washs well with no wrinkling or loss of color or water resistance. Great all around lightweight jacket.
