Love to put this light where the sun doesn't shine! It goes everywhere and attaches easily to my pack, gear loft, chest strap, or anywhere else I want some light. With the magnet attachment and dimable output it comes in handy for so many simple tasks around the campsite. I've added a second one to share the love with my wife and her adventures.
"Small package(not me, the lantern), Big things(me and the lantern)"
This is the smallest lantern I've purchased thus far and I must say I'm very impressed. For backpacking this cut about 10 oz. off the weight of my previously used lantern. I've read mixed reviews regarding the candlelight feature but to me, when used at its lowest setting, its great. Only potential drawback is the filter/rubber ring around the bottom can come loose and get lost.
This thing made my trips so much nicer. My old lantern was the traditional lantern shape, and had weird dark spots in my tent. This lights much more evenly because the light is cast in the direction you want it when in a tent, down. If you're going to use an led in a lantern, don't put it where the mantle used to go, put it where the light needs to be. A car doesn't have its engine attached to poles in front of it because that's where the horse used to go, so don't shackle a lantern with a subpar design. The mini Hozuki is that adaptation, modern, functional, and beautiful to use. Buy one.
I have been able to use this a couple times and I am pleased. Gives great light especially in the tent when hung from the net. I noticed in the promotional video for this they show a super cute couple with these lights strap to the outside of there packs but I would not suggest to do this! One of the downfalls is that I wish the magnet was a little stronger and I feel like it could be knocked off easily. The other downfall is the price but I thought is was super cute and had to have it!
