The William Ball Lock Carabiner by Petzl has a wide pear shape and large size opening to facilitate belaying with a Munter hitch and allows anchoring of several ropes and slings while rappelling down the side of a skyscraper. The carabiner’s Keylock system helps prevent snagging of the device during maneuvers while climbing or caving. The ball lock design allows for this 'biner to be used as a primary locking system used with belay devices, Munter hitches and even double ropes. The action to release the lock is quick and easy and can be done with one hand, just push the ball on the sleeve and twist, then release and it locks automatically. Could it get any simpler?
