The Patagonia Women's Retro-X Jacket has a breathable and windproof barrier sandwiched between cozy Synchilla fleece on the outside, and a polyester brushed mesh lining on the inside. Supplex nylon panels down the sides and under the sleeves reduce bulk and provide a slim fit with a minimal weight of only 17.7 oz. This Patagonia perennial favorite blends classic styling with some great features - pretty awesome. The Retro-X jacket has a fleece-lined collar, protective wind flaps, and two zippered hand-warmer pockets to keep digits toasty. My GF really liked the Retro-X fleece. But now she's my X-GF after that other dude came into the picture. Home wrecker, totally broke the bro-code.

"It is so comfortable you might not want to take it off!!!"
I own way too many jackets from Spyder, The North Face to Patagonia. I bought this for my sister and now I have to fight off all the guys. But in all seriousness this is a great product I have a similar jacket and it is my go to jacket for not only casual but rock climbing. Yes this jacket is practical!!
I bought this jacket with high hopes that its supposed windproof description would be true. I am thoroughly pleased with how accurate it is! In the cooler months, this is the perfect jacket for keeping out a lakefront breeze and staying cozy! The quality of the Retro-X is evident in its sturdy interior lining, and the fleece outer shell has gotten softer with use. Overall, I highly recommend this product for someone looking to stay warm in windier conditions, whether you're hiking a trail or just a busy street. The length is a bit on the shorter side (I'm 5'9'' and the medium is comfortable but fits JUST at the hip), but sleeve length and overall fit is otherwise true to size.
"This is a great jacket, much warmer than expected and very well-made"
I bought this to go on a trip to Europe to the Alps, and I managed to stay warm enough almost all days just wearing this over a t-shirt (weather was in the 30's and 40's). It's furry but sturdy, and also blocks wind really well! I'm 5'8" and about 130 lbs and got a small, but it was a bit too small for me. Much sturdier than a North Face Denali. Not as soft, but definitely more of an outdoor jacket. I feel like this jacket will probably last forever. Heck, I might be able to pass it down to my grandkids!
"Windproof. Well fitted. Great collar. Super cute. This + light weight down = winter perfection."
This jacket is amazing. It's hard core and fashionable. The fancy wind-blocking fleece does an excellent job at what it's meant to do. Love the slim cut and the nubby look. I'm 5'3" and have it in black XS, could possibly size up to a S, but I like the fitted look of the XS.
I bought this as a gift for a family member and he wear it all of the time. He always says that it is the most comfortable article of clothing (jacket wise) that he has ever had the pleasure of owning. It is warm and lightweight which makes it easy to move in. He is an avid snow shoer and says that when it is bright and sunny, it is the only jacket he needs.
I already have a windproof R4 in black, but I really wanted this jacket as well, so I ordered the brown. I wear an XS in the R4, but needed a small in this one. The fit is great, and it's quite warm. The interior lining seemed a bit stiff at first, but it's softening up. Overall a great addition to my selection of jackets.
I absolutely love this coat! It's the warmest coat I own at least for the upper body. The wind proof barrier is great and actually keeps you nice and toasty (much better than the mountain hardware and north face denali version of this coat) I ordered a medium (I'm almost 5'7 and 120 lb) even though I usually wear a small in Patagoina because this jacket seems to run a little small and I sometimes like to layer. If you're on the fence with this one get it!
This is definately a good jacket to have when you want more than the traditional fleece. The only issue I have was the fit. I am typically between a small and a medium at 5'8'' so when they said it was a slim fit product I knew I definately should get the medium. Had I tried it on I probably would have ordered a large so that I could fit sweaters under it comfortably but once I knew that the large was sold out and I decided to keep the medium. It is perfect for fall and spring in Ohio where temperatures have a wide range and you never know when you will need a warm jacket. Look forward to more patagonia and moosejaw purchase to come!
"Love this jacket! Very warm and versatile!"
This jacket is wonderful! I have had it for a couple of years now, and consistently wear it every season! It is very warm, and I tend to only wear a light sweater/shirt under it because it seems to be sufficient in 30-40 degree weather. It fits true to size and I find that it may be warmer to order a size down for a more snug fit. Great, stylish jacket!
