The Patagonia Women's Nano Puff Hoody can be your go-to jacket for numerous conditions. Not the least of these being 'looking really cozy/happy'. This insulating layer utilizes compressible PrimaLoft ONE to trap heat close to the body while not adding excess bulk. Synthetic insulation still functions even when wet making this a very useful layer in even the most severe conditions. The 100% recycled polyester shell can handle light moisture while blocking wind and can be easily layered. The insulated hood and the fact the whole thing can stow into its own internal pocket with clip-in loop, makes this puppy ready to go at a moment's notice for a fall day hike, a trip to the big wall, or sitting around on the deck.

I love this jacket! I wore this jacket skiing in Colorado, it kept me warm visiting family in negative 40 temps back in Wisconsin, and it also just looks super cool. It's insulated and keeps you warm inside - which is pretty awesome for how light it is. It's also pretty neat that it folds up into itself. The hood is nice and tight-fitting and makes you look like a ninja, which is also something that should sell you on buying it.
Best mini-puff you could buy. Great fit, with room for one or maybe two long sleeve base/mid-layers, and good arm and torso length. I'm 5' 6", some wider shoulders because of climbing, and I wear a small. Get it now!
"After donning this jacket, I found myself transported to a mountaintop overlooking my kingdom."
Here's the full monty. I ordered this jacket in a M from another site, and was pretty sure that I would be that right size (I've been a M my entire life. Average since day 1). When it got in, it fit okay, but found that the sleeves were way too long and even passed my fingers. When I pushed them up a little, the sleeves got all bunchy and it looked like I was smuggling hamsters in them. Also, the back was way long and hid my totally butt from the world (RUDE). I'm 5'2", which was probably why the length was an issue. So, I ordered a Small from this site and it came in two days flat. The Small fit so much better in the sleeves and with the length. And the arms weren't restricted or uncomfortable when I wore a sweater underneath it (it also zipped fine which is a plus). Also, the length hit my butt in a more flattering area (I know this jacket is nice, boys, but my butt is down here). After the final test, a low-key fight with a black bear (street rules), I sent the M packing. <3
Bought the hoody for my wife as a Christmas present. The fit was true to size and as versatile as advertised. It helps that I have a Nano Puff Hoody as well! Best jacket I have ever owned! She loves hers as well!
I ordered this jacket for an early fall hiking/camping trip in Wyoming and South Dakota. Let me tell you that it was truly a lifesaver -- my friend and I got a bit lost while out hiking in the Bighorn mountains and the knowledge that I still had this jacket in my pack made me slightly less fearful for the cold night ahead. While we did end up making it out of the woods just as the sun went down, I was still happy to put this jacket on by the campfire that night while we warmed up.
I bought this jacket as a gift for my wife who was after a colorful puff jacket. She looked at several other brands and wasn't thrilled with their build quality. I suggested she take a look at this Patagonia Nano Puff and she loved it. She has an ample bosom, so she had to go up 1 size as the jacket was slightly fitted. She likes the way it fits and is thrilled with how warm it is. The jacket also compresses quite well. She has rolled it up and put it in her bag with no problems. The hood is thin - adding more of a barrier than anything else, but it is effective enough. All around, this is a great jacket. Patagonia makes exceptional products and Moosejaw provides fabulous customer service!
So I love patagonia' nano puffs and own a couple worn-out older diamond baffle styles that I use for everything: work, skiing, climbing, running errands, going to dinner, etc. Due to the fact I rarely take these off I was excited to get a fresh, less dirty version for those town activities. I got the blue and the color is beautiful! They have changed the fit significantly though, and it is in line with what I've been discovering with all patagonia styles from the last year or two: longer and slimmer torso (I think that's an improvement to the nano), but the shoulders and armpits are just so tight! Maybe I just needed to go up a size but the XS old style nanos were always plenty roomy (I'm 5' 3" 115lbs, I do have slightly broad shoulders though). It's a bit snug wearing over a tshirt, but over thermals with a ski shell...downright tight in the arms. I've found the same new fit with patagonia's shells and the new DAS parka too...what a bummer. Still a great jacket though!
