The Patagonia Women's Better Jacket makes a bold claim right in its name. You know that jacket that you currently own? Well, this one is better. It's like when that band Ezra was tearing up the charts in the late 80s/early 90s, but then low and behold, Better Than Ezra shows up and renders Ezra obsolete. That's what this urban styled polyester, sweater-knit fleece is all about: one-upping. The soft fleece interior will trap the heat. Its four pockets maximize cargo space without looking bulky. The tall, stand-up neck with two-button placket will keep you warm and fashionable. Perfect for commuting, for work or for a night on the town, the Better jacket is your best option.

Totally worth the money! It is a nice looking jacket with a more feminine shape so I can wear it to work and not look like a hooligan. I have received lots of compliments on it too. It is cut a little bit longer in the back which is awesome. I am 5'10 - could fit in a medium but because I planned on wearing layers underneath it, I purchased a large. Also, I have long arms and the large is plenty long enough! I seriously love this jacket!
The fit of this jacket is great: not too tight but still fitted enough to look flattering. I love that it's made of material very similar to the Better Sweater, but I have had zero pilling on mine so far. The pockets are actually useful, and look pretty cool as well. The collar can be worn zipped all the way up, but if you keep it down, it gives the jacket an entirely new look because of the tall flaps. Two different styles—both equally good looking. The length of this jacket is also perfect, as I am a woman of fairly average height and build (5'5", 125); the sleeves are just slightly long but not too long, and the back dips a little bit to cover just enough. The inside of the jacket is super soft and fleecy, and keeps you significantly warm for not being a bulky coat. Would definitely recommend for any season!
The weight on this jacket is light considering how warm it is. The medium fit perfectly; I'm broad-shouldered and generally wear a size 8. If it were 3 inches longer in the body it would be the only mid weight jacket I'd ever wear. The hip length is fine, however. Super cute and stylish too!
I work as a counselor at a school and I look to be comfy but still stylish at work. This totally hot the nail on the head. . So soft warrm and overall just comfy! ! I wear a small in shirts and I ordered a medium in the jacket and it was a bit big. I sent it back and got a small and its perfect. Fitted bit not too fitted. The medium was def too big and the jacket didnt have a good fit and not very flattering..it is definitely true to size.
I love this jacket. Period. It looks boxy in the picture, but I assure you it looks very flattering on. The construction and fabric are high quality and sooo soft. You can dress this up a little too, if that's your kind of thing. The colors are blessedly simple and nice (no crazy neon lime or pink, thank god). The only drawback is the price. This isn't a weatherproof shell and it sells for well over a hundo for what is essentially a very comfy zip up sweatshirt. I'll admit that I bought this after I had both A) conveniently been paid and B) had more than one adult beverage. But the buyers remorse has not crept in because of how happy I am with this jacket. The sizing is nice too. A medium fit perfect on me (5'6", 145lbs, chesty). I would say you don't have to go up a size from what you normally would buy.
This jacket looks great and the inside is oh so soft. It's warm enough for an early-mid fall jacket but definitely can't be a primary outerwear. The drop in pockets are really warm, which is great if you hate gloves like me. My biggest complaint is that being short, I'm 5 feet, the sleeves are a little long and the stitching on the cuffs hits in an awkward spot on my wrist where it kinda rubs in an uncomfortable way. So if you're petite, or have short arms that's something to consider. All in all, while it does look good, is soft and warm enough for the current season, I'm not entirely convinced it was worth it's purchase price.
