The Men's Better Sweater 1/4 Zip by Patagonia. A rugged 1/4-zip fleece pullover that combines the aesthetic of wool with the easy care of polyester fleece. This Patagonia fleece has Raglan sleeves for comfort when wearing a pack making it the most awesome fleece outerwear that Patagonia offers. I received a notice from the FDA today regarding Lobster Poo. I was really worried about what people have been eating until I found out it's a candy produced in Maine. I'm still a little worried. I'll take Better Sweater over Lobster Poo any day.

The M's Better Sweater 1/4-Zip was definitely a great buy. The quality of fleece is unlike any other and I highly recommend this item to anyone looking for a casual, comfortable, warm piece of clothing. Patagonia was great in its efficiency getting the item to me and Jen H. from Customer Service was a great help as well! This is a great product and just what I was hoping Patagonia would come up with. Perfect for those chilly morning bike or ATV rides. Cool windy days on the beach. When you want less than a jacket and more than a light sweater
"Extremely comfortable for a wide range of temperatures and conditions"
The better Sweater is a top notch jacket that I wear as an outer layer throughout the fall and spring. It's warm enough in temperatures as low as 40 and keeps you dry in light to moderate sprinkles. It also works wells under other jackets in colder weather, and is an eye catcher when out and about. The lining is soft and extremely comfortable. I've slept comfortably many times in this jacket. It does have a tendency to pick up pet hairs if you live with pets, but a standard lint roller does the trick and keep the jacket looking great. Highly recommended for the price.
"Has Taken Years of Abuse and is still Better than any Other Sweater"
I bought my first better sweater the year they came out - I think that was 3-5 years ago now... I still have it - actually wore it to work over a button down twice this week. It's been balled in my backpacking pack, worn 20 times without washing, and worn to church. It's the most aesthetically versatile piece of gear that Patagonia makes - it can be worn for almost any occasion - I would think twice about a wedding... The inside is super soft fleece that stays soft. I've washed it about 20-30 times and it still looks great - always air dry it. The outside does pilled after a while - especially where the sleeves met the torso - I've used a pair of sewing scissors to remove them a few times and the fleece always returns to looking brand new. It's not too hot around 70 and it's not too cold around 55 - I think that's it's sweet spot. It's not super useful as a mid-layer - though I've tried - it's just too bulky. The bottom line - this is the best fleece I've ever owned.
So this a men's sweater, I however am a woman. I got a men's small and I generally wear a small or medium in woman's outerwear. I love this sweater. It is perfect to wear on it's own under another coat in really cold temperatures. I have yet to take it adventuring further than my day to day activities, but have do doubt it will hold up well when I do.
"Keeps you warm and comfortable in the winter"
I got this as a Christmas gift, and it fits great. I'm 6'1" 160 lbs, and large fits me just fine. The colors are great too! I got the Spanish Moss color, but I wouldn't mind getting another in a different color, since there's so many to choose from.
