I'm excited to write a product description for a jacket that has served me well in the past. I could go on and on and on about the Patagonia Men's Nano Puff Jacket (I'll try to limit it to just "on and on"). First let me throw some details at you. The Nano Puff is filled with PrimaLoft ONE synthetic insulation which traps heat, even when wet. The outer shell is lightweight ripstop recycled polyester with Deluge DWR finish to shed moisture. All of this adds up to a slight 11.8 oz. On a thru-hike of the PCT, I wore a Nano Puff almost every evening around camp (especially in the Sierras), used it every night as a pillow and wore it in every town while I did laundry. It stood up to all I could throw at it and remains my go-to insulating layer in the winter. This year's model is even better as it has an improved fit through the torso and waist, and an added interior storm flap behind the zipper. I can't say enough about this jacket.

"It is a VERY warm jacket wore it all winter!"
I love this coat! I ordered it thinking it would be warm but not the warmest jacket I have ever had. But, it is the best coat i have had so far! Lightweight and not heavy and also waterproof. It is easy to put in my backpack if it starts to get warm. For sure worth the price and would order another one. Also, i live in Ohio where it gets really cold out and it kept me very warm, i would even where just a t-shirt underneath this coat when it was cold and i was warm!
Yes I know, it's a pretty expensive jacket and you don't think you should pay so much. But I'm here to tell you, it's absolutely worth it. I'm going to list a few things about this jacket that should help you make the decision to get one or not.It fits fantastic!: The jacket fits perfectly. It feels as though Patagonia really thought this design out. It's dynamic and gives you great range of motion. It green!: Patagonia creates responsibly sourced materials and clothing. You are basically wearing recycled materials on your body, and looking good while doing so.It's toasty warm!: The jacket keeps you nice and warm on those chilly days. It's also windproof which is definitely welcomed. I wouldn't wear this jacket in Denali during winter or anything that is below 40 or 30, but that's what a down jacket is for.You will wear it this thing more and more: You will find yourself always reaching for this jacket because it just works and is so comfortable.
Patagonia is hard to beat! Terrific lightweight insulation without any bulk or restriction to movement. Any season comfort needed, Patagonia Nano Puff Jacket will meet the mark. A must have in any active wear closet, fits underneath clothing seamlessly or stand alone comfort! Absolutely would recommend for any sport or casual wear activity!
"these jackets are warm, yet light, and compressible!"
As an outdoorsman, hunting fishing, camping ; I like items I can insulte with, that aren't super bulky! This Nano puff jacket fits the bill. It's not so large that I can't layer over the top of it with a jacket when it's cold, yet it's perfect when the temps are cool. Nice addition to any layering system.
This is the heaviest light jacket ever. It is called a jacket but it is crazy warm, with a fleece under it you can be outdoors for hours toasty warm. I have one and bought my husband one for travel as it smooshes to a tiny size (no bigger than his heavy boot socks). Just a personal heads up, I feel Patagonia runs on the small side. My husband is 5'11" 188 lbs we ordered the large and it is fitted not tight but fitted with a thin sweater or fleece under it. It is great quality and will last for years, I have had mine for 3 years and it in perfect shape after many washings. Patagonia is good stuff.
"The Perfect Lightweight Backpacking Jacket"
The Patagonia Nano Puff is a perfect backpacking jacket. Lightweight and synthetic, it keeps you endlessly warm in light rain and fits just about anywhere in your backpack. Windproof and water-resistant, I wore it almost every morning during the PNT and had it on as soon as we made camp. It never let me down!
