The Patagonia Men's Hawke's Bay Jacket is a winter parka that's on a mission, a mission of warmth. When you're out in the cold, the 600-fill down will keep you insulated by trapping your body heat close to your body. The H2No® Performance shell with DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish is waterproof and breathable; it will keep out any rain, snow, hail, cats & dogs, while preventing moisture buildup within. Two of the seven (seven!) pockets are lined for warmth, the other five are there for when you need to stow something in a hurry.... just cram your hand somewhere and there will probably be a pocket waiting to help you out.

I needed a down jacket that could also fight the delightful "wintery mix" found in the greater Boston area, and this sucker has delivered. I am super happy with it. Keeps me warm through the mid-teens, which is the coldest I've tested it at so far, and keeps me dry in the rain. It's also breathable, so when I'm moving around in it, I don't feel myself overheating and sweating. The outer shell is built to last - I took a huge (embarrassing) wipe-out running on icy blacktop, and hit the ground elbows first (not graceful). The jacket doesn't show a scratch. The hood (lined with down) is good for two reasons: it's extremely warm; and it cinches down so that it protects from wind without blocking my vision. Overall, a great buy.
I bought this jacket so for snowboard trips, but so I could have a nice jacket to wear around town and not have to wear my snowboard jacket. I normally wear a size S in Patagonia, but this one runs a little larger than their other gear. But that's fine, because for extremely cold weather, I can layer a nanopuff or hi-loft 3 underneath and it's perfect. I got the gray color, and have gotten tons of compliments on how it looks. I highly recommend it.
"Cutting edge but with conservative, classic looks, incredibly warm and a babe magnet for sure!"
Bought this parka despite the higher than average price for this style's competitors and am pleased as bee's knees right now. I went for the Patagonia because it's sort of not the mainstream look like NF and has no obnoxious patches like CA Goose. This jacket is stealth with the branding.Main reasons I pulled the trigger were the very cool heathered gray color that makes it look sort of like a fine wool suit material, removable hood, mil-spec looking pleated pockets, water resistance and quilted down interior, many pockets, and ribbed cuffs. This jacket is regular sized so order what you normally wear. I'm 6'1", 215 or so, last I checked and it fits literally perfectly. I am travelling to some potentially nard shrinking places this Winter so I am looking forward to putting it to the test. I feel confident it will pass with flying colors.
