"Favorite workout shirt" 12/20/10
These shirts are almost like wearing nothing at all. Perfect warm weather or high activity hijinks shirt. It's also perfect when it comes to embracing and holding onto stink.... and I'm not much of a BO producer. It's a wear once and wash shirt but you cant beat the breathability of this garment ...... unless you want to wear one of those big open mesh shirts that show off your nipples.
"Lightweight goodness" 11/12/10
Bought this the other day for the hot summers in the southeast US and as a base layer on the colder days of the winter.First impression - Light, breathable, stylish, bringing sexy backSecond impression - perfect baselayer for winter, perfect 't-shirt' for summerI am 5'10", 175lbs and I bought a medium. This is not a piece of spandex, it is form fitting though. It feels kind of like a piece of a little bit coarse, stretchy cotton. All in all, extremely happy with my purchase!
"Perfect T-shirt" 11/08/10
This T-shirt breathes very well. It's great for layering or wearing by itself, and dries extremely fast which is good for traveling (you can wash it in your hotel sink and it will be dry by morning guaranteed). Perfect for high-output activities.
"Dries very quickly" 09/22/10
This is a great t-shirt for dayhikes. It wicks really well and dries quickly. The raglan sleeves are nice for wearing under packs, and the material stretches really nicely. My only complaint is that it's like any other synthetic - it can develop quite a stench if you're really active in it. Awesome for dayhikes, a little stinky for overnighters.
"Making a decision about Capilene 1 vs Capilene 2?" 06/15/10
You can see my review of Capilene 1 T-shirt but in short on strictly a single layer use I like the Capilene 2 T-shirt.The #2 has a raglan sleeve - better for pack straps. And #2's fabric breathes better though heavier per ounce per square yard than #1 because it's not as tightly woven.
"Get the green one!" 03/22/10
I received my shipment on St. Patty's day and immediately threw it on, luckily I got the green one so it worked out pretty nicely. After slack-lining for a few hours at our back yard BBQ, I went out to the bars feeling fresh and clean. After a long evening of being packed in a small room with hundreds of booze soaked sweaty bodies, I felt like I was the only one who was truly prepared and I made it out comfortably and sweat free, thanks Patagonia!
"Like it a lot" 02/14/10
I got both the Cap 1 and Cap 2 t-shirts. Both are great and good quality. The fit is true but they are a little longer than I care for as I prefer shirt untucked. If you prefer tucked in, then you will like the length. The Cap 1 is about 1" longer than the Cap 2 - not sure why they did that. Both are great, but if was just getting one, I would choose the Cap 2 - I liked the more textured and breathable weave. The Cap 1 has a tighter weave and smoother finish. Both are light weight.
"Comfortable shirt" 07/30/09
After falling in love with the Cap 1 - this is even better. You can feel the jump in durability / weight from the Cap 1 to 2. The black is a great color and it's a shirt you could wear every day. Definitely an 'athletic' fit - so I sized up to keep it loose.
"The Illest!" 04/21/09
I had the Cap 2 long sleeve and wanted a short sleeve version to run around outside in the spring and summer. It breathes really well and is nice and light. It also isn't too tight or too loose but shows enough muscle for the girls to stop and stare at me when run by them. Of course, they may just be stopping because they came to a traffic light or something, but I like to think its because of way I look in the shirt.
"Perfect for any hi-sweat activity" 03/11/09
Although these are supposed to be a step heavier in the Capilene line than the Cap 1 layers, I find them to be the best for hot weather (and more adaptable for slightly cooler weather). They have a dry hand that wicks great, does give a degree of odor fighting, and is cut perfectly. For me, a medium is perfect (5'9", 165 lbs), although they'd be fine for someone a bit taller too. These will get me through many days in a Honduran summer.
