Great shirt! Perfect for morning hikes to keep warm and wick away the sweat when warmer. Slim fit is accurate and as with most patagonia, sleeves are longer. Perfect for me but if you have short arms, yee have been warned!
I have owned a couple of versions of Capilene 2 including the latest iteration. I've worn it, around town, as an undershirt, climbing, backpacking and it never lets me down. This past summer I even used it as a towel to dry out the inside of my tent after an awesome storm caught me in the open. The next day I put it on wet and it dried out so fast I was amazed. I use it for running too because it dies fast and comfortable for quick movements too.Recommended.
"Good for outdoor, not good for everyday use"
Pro: very slim cut for performance using. When it is dry is warm and and when there is some sweat, it would cool down and dry quickly.con: The neck is too tight. The one with zip is much more comfortable at the neckNot good to for everyday using because it is too slim and performance lookThe one with zip is much more comfortable, and you can only wear a very slim cut underwear like this inside the slim cut R series fleece. I would suggest use a much more comfortable lululemon crew to instead of this
I ordered this shirt and it arrived promptly on my door step in 2 days. It fit great so I hit the trsil two days later to test it out. I went hiking in RMNP in Colorado and the weather was between 50 to 60 degrees and breezy. The shirt performed just like I wanted it to and would expect from Patagonia. It kept me warm, but not hot and when I was sweating it wicked the moisture away from my body perfectly. It also dried very quickly and did not smell after a 12 mile hike. I am very pleased and highly recommend this product. It would also work great as a base layer or in combination with another like product if the temperature would have been any cooler.
"Next-to-Skin Comfort, Great for layering, Breathable Shirt"
I purchased this longsleeve cap 2 on a whim over a year ago and have, since then, purchased 2 more. I am 5' 11" and 135 lbs and I prefer to keep it close to the skin with a Men's Small. This shirt is machine washable and line dry. I use this shirt for layering, it's moisture wicking and pretty much seamless. When I travel I always bring at least one of these along.Pros: "Iron Clad warranty", next-to-skin comfort, breathable. Perfect for layering.Cons: Since this shirt is made of polyester it retains odors more than fabrics like wool. After wearing it as a baselayer for a few days, you'll def start to "smell it". But how often do you wear the same shirt multiple days? Bottom line: Love it. I now prefer merino wool, but this polyester shirt is at a great pricepoint and fits like like glove for your upper body.
