The Patagonia Boys' Nano Puff Jacket is an insulated jacket for cool weather that is easily layered for cold days. The outer shell is a polyester mini-ripstop, built for tear-resistance that is also windproof. The durable water repellent finish on the outside allows a light rain or snow to bead up and roll off his shoulders, instead of soaking in. The 60g of PrimaLoft® Gold insulation on the inside provides warmth and when the fall sun heats up on the family hike, the lightweight insulation allows him to tuck the whole jacket into the internal chest pocket. It's now ready for throwing into his day pack or clipping it to a belt for later. The elastic cuffs wrap his wrists for draft protection and zippered hand pockets warm his hands or secure small treasures.

"Wonderful coat, but warning, the zipper is not kelly green, but the same color as the coat"
One of the things my 7 year old loved about this coat was the kelly green zipper and lining since green is his favorite color. The actual coat we received has an olive zipper and gray lining which made it pretty drab. We are returning the coat in favor of a green cammo North Face with a hood.
"Great jacket for kids-- lightweight, but warm and durable."
My kids love this coat. It is not too bulky and the colors are not too bright so they are not embarrassed to wear it. Also, it can withstand the abuse of outdoor activities (including being left on the ground and shoved into a backpack). No complaints!
It's true to size, stylish and warm for a chilly Fall day in Michigan. The zipper is easy to pull, and my son says the extra inside pockets are awesome. Super lightweight, so he doesn't look like the kid from The Christmas Story when wearing it,
