"I love the hood!"  01/10/13

All the OR jackets I've used have great hoods! This matters bigtime when you're slogging through the rain! The Foray's hood is no exception; it keeps the rain off your face without being bulky (and it can still extend over my climbing helmet). I recommend this great, affordable lightweight shell. Though I've used my Foray skiing, it doesn't give the warmth and wind protection that you'd expect from a ski specific jacket. Lastly, if using for climbing, beware of sharp rock while wearing this jacket. It can rip more easily than a softshell. (OR's Ferossi hoody is more durable on the rock.) But if you're rapping in the rain or getting buffeted by the wind, the Foray will ease the discomfort!
