"Great softshell, stylish and performs" 06/12/13
Feels uber light and comfortable on and smoothly stretches with movement. Have worn in rain and has kept me dry. Not super warm though but this can be a plus as I wear it on cool to warm days just cause it feels good.
"Outdoor Research Ferrosi" 08/02/12
I'm 6'1" 185lbs and typically a large from companies with a more generous cut (Patagonia, Mountain Hardwear, Marmot etc) while I often have to move up to XL in an athletic cut like Arcteryx. The large is very comfortable with a base layer, just loose enough. I am intending to use this as a casual jacket around town in the summer as well as backcountry use, so I wouldn't mind a bit baggier fit. I tried the XL and the fit was really pretty good for this purpose, but the cuffs on the sleeves were too large. So, sizing up for a less athletic fit doesn't work too well with this garment. Loving it around the house, so I'm excited to see how it handles the elements.
"Thin, but Great" 12/17/11
This is a very thin soft shell, but a piece I always pack with me. It's breathable, light, durable, and water resistant. I wear this over a base layer or fleece or even a light down sweater in colder temps. Very versatile. The hood is a bit close fitting.
"Move fast and Free, ditch them back country zombies." 11/06/10
I think this jacket is great. I have used it rock climbing when windy and cold, the fabric is tough and barely even scuffs. I have even worn it through several downpours for and hour or so and stayed dry, not gore dry, but it did just fine. Over all it works for light layering, range of motion and keeping wind and water off of your self. It also packs super small. I recommended it to my enthusiast friends. Only thing, don’t pull the hood too tight, I had to replace two of them because the drawstring broke. I would replace it 5 more times if necessary though, just to give you an idea of my feelings on the technical capabilities of this piece. 14ers involved.
