I found these to run true to size, the rubber grippers are super grippy, but because the rubber pads are only in just a few places the grip is not too sticky. Even with the sticky it is still easy to fit in a shell and use these as a liner. Working outdoors for an hour in -10(windchill) wearing only the Backstops my hands were perfectly warm, no sweating, and I could get a great grip on an axe and saw. These things would be perfect to keep in your softshell for a just in case moment because they are so light and non-bulky.
