Fits very well (sizing chart accurate), warm, very light, water resistant, windproof, breathable. Works well in heavy snow, heavy rain (it fits very well under a hood). The peak blocks rain, snow and the sun when lowered. It also blocks the reflections from snow because of the dark colour of the peak's underside. I would recommend that if you will be in extremely cold temperatures (minus 20 and lower), that you size up to allow for a balaclava and/or thin beanie to go underneath to add even more warmth. The drawcord at the back can then be pulled tight in the warmer months. The hat also looks pretty cool so can be worn in the city no problem.
This hat is what I use at my job when I work in winter conditions. Took snowshoeing and it is almost too warm for that unless you are shoeing with minimal elevation gain. It doesn't look half bad either, I wore it around a bunch of teamsters and only heard one joke about it, so i've got that going for me....which is nice.
