The Osprey Men's Waypoint 85 Travel Pack is a pack that is as durable and comfortable as a backcountry backpack, but with the functionality and compactness that make it ideal for travel. Interchangable harnesses help customize how you bear the weight of the bag, and the built-in hipbelt helps, too. Featuring inside pockets to keep your toiletries away from your underwear and your headlamp separate from your socks, this bag is made to transition from trail to travel without a problem. Once I met a dog that spoke Polish.

"bullet proof and impressive - this pack is amazing"

I love this pack it is everything you need, I also have the Atmos 65 for back country and I keep grabbing this bag for everything else. At first I did not think this bag was what I was looking for but it has really turned out to be my favorite bag, it has tons of inside pockets. I would consider this bag to be built like a suitcase with all the inside compartment for socks, drawers, toiletries, small item pockets for headlamps and other gear, plus a super large main compartment for clothes and even tie downs.Bottom line- this is an international travel bag, can go anyway and will perform beautifully.
The waypoint is an amazing travel bag. It has all the bells and whistles of a travel pack, plus its big enough that i can give my gf piggy back rides inside the thing. The suspension system is killer with good ventilation, and the detachable pack is the right size for most adventures. Two small problems: the side zipper into the main area goes through one of the inside pockets, making it useless if you want to access the main compartment without digging through other stuff. The other problem is the day pack access is from the back, meaning the main compartment is not that accessible.
Love the pac. First off the name Osprey is 1st class. Ive been traveling with them for last 5 years. I previously owned the porter 65. After 5 years of Asia/Europe/Central/Carribbean travel the zipper broke. I called osprey and they told me to send it back for free repair. They called a few days later and offered me a completely new bag of my choice. There PR is amazing! Very nice and efficient. The bag itself is set up prefect. Only rec is Osprey please make more appealing colors!
This pack is perfect. I wish I had this when I was in the Marines where we used the MOLLE system. It is extremely comfortable and intuitive. I absolutely love the ability to load everything from the front instead of the top. It makes it 10 times easier to keep your gear organized and doesn't force you to empty your pack to find something at the bottom. Plenty of internal pockets to keep your little stuff organized and accessible. The only gripe I have is that there is no holes at the top of the main pack or day pack for access to water bladders.

It's true, all the cool backpackers are doing it, you want to be cool, right?Seriously though, my friend bought one of these for his trip to Brazil and it was love at first sight. The backpack is well thought out, light, durable, and very intuitive. It has so many cool features that I didn't know I wanted until I got it.
I shopped around & compared a variety of combi travel packs, but ultimately decided to spend the extra dough & buy the Osprey Waypoint 85. I traveled extensively through Europe this fall for business/leisure & this pack worked great. The detachable day pack has the right capacity for the essentials plus padded protection for a netbook. The main pack was comfortable, even fully loaded. I pushed the capacity to the max (truly testing the zippers) and it worked perfectly. The cover for the shoulder straps was helpful during flights & train rides to keep everything secure and tangle free. I recommend this pack to anyone looking for a solid travel pack w/ the convenience of a detachable day pack.
