Osprey Hydraform Reservoir
The Osprey HydroForm Reservoir is a hydration system for on-the-go hydration from inside a pack. This reservoir features a rigid back that prevents barrelling and makes it easy to slide into a pack, especially when paired with the handy ergonomic handle. The wide-mouth cap lets water in quickly to fill up in no time. The mouthpiece has a magnet that attaches to the magnet on Osprey pack harnesses and is turned off by twisting to prevent dripping. This water bladder also features an anti-microbial coating to prevent anything funky happening to the water. And by anything funk I mean I can guarantee no sea monkeys will show up in your reservoir. So you can sleep at night now.

"Easy to use, quality." 02/15/13
The best part about this is with the firm back, it is super easy to slide into your pack. I use it with an Osprey Kestrel 32 and, of course, it fits perfectly. The magnet is helpful for clipping to the sternum strap. I don't use it all that often, but it is sturdily built and should last me a long while!
"Best Reservoir I Have Yet Used." 02/14/13
I bought the 3 L Reservoir and I love the rigid design, which makes it much easier to get in and out of packs. It also adds some form to my day pack. I also love that is doesn't crumple up at the bottom of the pack as it empties. I also like magnetic mouthpiece...keeps everything right where it should be rather than flopping around.
"Wish there was a cover for the mouth-piece" 01/25/13
The firm structure makes it easier to slide in and out of the backpack and the wide mouth is great for filling up with H2O (no leakage!). A generous stream of water comes out of the bite valve without much work. I just wish there is a way to keep the mouth piece clean from the elements while you're backpacking (and to prevent it from leaking water on your stuff if you accidentally put some weight on the bite valve). Overall the bladder is pretty good, but with a mouth piece cover, it'd be great.

"AWESOME!" 12/31/12
This is a well built, and highly functioning reservoir. I went with the 3L because the price is so close together, and the option to be able to fluctuate weight depending on the amount of water was intriguing. Works well.
"Great Product" 12/12/12
I received this item with a backpack that I ordered. It works very well and I love having easy water access. It is a very well made reservoir and seems like it will last a long time. It is made out of strong material and doesn't seem like it will tear easily. I also like the magnet that you can attach to your backpack so that the mouthpiece can rest there. I put the magnet on the chest strap of my osprey quantum and it fits well there. Great Product!
"Durable and well constructed" 12/04/12
This is as durable as a hydration reservoir can be. The bite-valve does not leak, there is not an aftertaste, and the wide opening makes filling it up easy. The backside is constructed with a fairly rigid plastic frame which keeps the bladder from collapsing, bunching up, or moving while in a pack. At the top, above the lid, is a sturdy plastic handle which allows it to be easily and safely hung in a pack while a small, handy loop, which makes post-use hanging/drying very easy, can be found at the other end.
"Pretty Good" 11/19/12
I recently took this backpacking in the Catskills and it performed well. The bladder seems to be well constructed, no leakage problems. The magnetic clip was great for keeping the mouthpiece secure to the pack. It would have been nicer if the tube was a inch or two longer and if the opening was the standard size for attaching a water filter easily.
"No leaks! (!!!) Flat backing! Less plastic flavor!" 10/21/12
I got the 3L version, b/c its so close in price, and I just fill it less if I dont want all the weight. The diff in weight between the 2 + 3 L is negligible. Mine doesn't leak whatsoever! An MSRDromedary leaked forever, always had a dribble o wet following me--ugh! The magnet is sweet (no bouncing plastic tube) and so is the pivot-mouthpiece. The plastic back makes this slip comfortably into any pack. I barely taste any plastic flavor, and only if its been sitting all day. The ONLY con is that it is a bit heavier than other reservoirs.I tend to drink a lot more water while hiking (or driving, I keep this in my car behind my seat for long trips) with this--they are SO worth it.
"Overbuilt?" 10/13/12
Maybe overbuilt, but it does what it is supposed to without crimping off under its own filled weight like a naked CamelBak or Platy bladder will do if you stuff it in s hydration sleeve. Great valve. Easy to clean. My MSR filter screws on just like any wide mouth Nalgene for easy filtering.
"Works as advertised and fits nicely into my Atmos 65 pack. Awkwardly large opening." 05/08/12
Osprey always makes high quality products. This is much more durable than my old nalgene bladder of the equivalent size. However, the real flaw with this product is that the opening is just too large for any standard water pump. This item is great for a day trip, but a poor choice if you are planning to refill with a hand pump from streams while on your hike. I'm sure it works fine if you just want to iodize water overnight.
