i have worn Birkenstocks for more years than I care to remember but these OluKai sandals are my new best friends. These maybe run a little small, usually I wear (Euro size 41) while the OluKai (Euro size 42) is perfect. These fit and feel so good I went back to Moosejaw the next day and purchased the other color they offer. The only problem I can see with them is which ones do I want to wear (or one of each / I'll check with my wife on that idea). As with most leather products there is a break in period of a couple days before the straps and toe post become supple and conform to your feet. These sandals may seem expensive but your feet will love them.
These things are the Ferraris of the sandal world! Extremely comfortable right out of the box, and will only get better as they break in. Really nice arch support, and the toe thong padding won't rub or chafe your goods. The only thing to be concerned about is that these tend to run a bit on the small side. I normally wear a 10.5 to 11, but had to get these in a size 13 (was right in between a 12 and 13). The quality and craftsmanship of these sandals are top-notch, and I plan on getting many, many years use out of these bad boys.
