I always take this with me whether just weekend car camping or extended backpacking. I like a firm pillow and this pillow allows you to adjust the firmness. The bungees on the back are great for stuffing a shirt or jacket and elevating my head (if I sleep with my head flat I wake up with a headache). It packs down pretty small (smaller than any other pillow) and doesn't weigh that much. Some people think its not worth the weight but I'm always willing to cary just a little extra for a good nights sleep.
I just got this the other day, and am impressed. I tend to sleep on my side, and other pillows just aren't tall enough normally. With this, I can adjust height and firmness as I need throughout the night. Stuffing an extra shirt into the bungee straps on the bottom help to provide an added boost. Is it the lightest pillow around? No. But, it's only an ouce or two heavier that the Thermarest pillow I was using before, and far more comfortable. I wouldn't use it for long treks on the trail, but for a few nights out with my kids, or for travel in the car or on a plane, this pillow is awesome!
"Absolute luxury item, but ultra comfortable!"
Won this when Backpacker came to EL MJ, figured I'd take it to Manistee NF with me. I'm not one for luxury items because they take up space and are extra weight, but the Fillo was comfortable. The microfiber felt great and the foam and inflation made for a good nights sleep. The drawcords for extra height are nice. Only drawback I could find was that in the morning the microfiber had collected a lot of moisture making it damp. The self contained stuff sack is easy to use, but doesn't compress very small taking up valuable space. If you aren't weight conscious and need a pillow I'd say it's a winner. Makes a good travel pillow. Side note: Mine was free, but the price does seem a little steep.
Pros: Comfy. The material you rest your melon on is pretty sweet. It inflates easily. Has a bungee string laced on the flip side so you can stuff clothes into it. This make for a more adjustable preference.Cons: The material on the other side is noisy along with the inflatable balloon inside. The stuff pouch is in the seem and it's difficult to roll up and tuck it in. too heavy for my taste.Overall: if you like blow up pillows, you're gonna love it. For this amt of money, i traded up for a goose feathered pillow.
