I am 5'5" and athletic build. The small is pretty much a size too big on me. Its a bit disappointing as my other 2 mountain hardware jackets from a few years back fit like a glove. Other than the fit its looks great and is very lightweight.
This is a very comfortable, stylish, light and above all warm jacket. I have it in green colour and it's only dis is that it stains easily. It packs on its own pocket and thus it is very convenient to carry it up on the mountains. It is extremely light for the warmth that it offers.
It's probably just my body type since I'm 5'8" and 145lbs, but the small was a little baggy. It's a great fit in heavy layering weather. I've owned it about a year and some down is coming out, but not terrible. As much as I would expect. More durable than the Ghost I think. I think I prefer my MHW nitrous hybrid. More form fitting and I constantly get compliments on it.
"A simple, compressable, lightweight, and warm down jacket."
If you are looking for the perfect layering piece for cold mountain mornings or a warm jacket for around town, this is it. The 800 fill down is compressable just as advertised. The jacket fits true to size. I am 5'9" and ~150 pounds of raw steel and the small is a comfortable fit. The arms are long enough to allow for some stretching and reaching, but the torso is tight fitting enough to minimize excess air that your body will need to warm up. The medium was just too baggy for my preference through the torso. We shall see how it holds up to wear and tear, but the materials feel solid.
