I wanted something that was: warm, light, versatile, layer-able and somewhat stylish. This jacket, for my uses, exceeds all of those attributes. First off, I'm 5'11 - 6'0 (depending on the day), weigh around 165, with broad shoulders (or so I tell myself) and the size large fits me well. What I really like most about this jacket is that it's very warm for it's light weight (warmer than my primaloft one jackets), and that it's highly versatile, so it can be worn in varying weather conditions. For hiking/backpacking/camping in cool to below 0° F temperatures, I'm able to layer this under my shell for rainy weather; or on top of my shell and other layers belay style, so I can stuff my face or camp and not freeze. Also, for you stylish folks, it's not bad looking, and works great for around town, going to class, etc. So if you want something that is light, warm, stylish and functional, and cheaper than similar jackets, then this may be the jacket for you.
