I bought this product for the summer at Philmont Scout Ranch and it has been great so far. It is extremely light weight, durable, and doesn't let in moisture in. It is nice because unlike most rain jackets, you don't sweat in it. It's great for backpacking, skiing, or anything you could possibly use it for, and it looks great!
I was looking for a hardshell to compliment my Epic Jacket backpacking shell. I looked at various Gore-Tex products, but still found them to be a little stuffy. This jacket is wonderful. It keeps my dry in the hardest of showers, and also breathes incredibly well. Love the waterproof chest zipper, and the adjustable hood. Negatives are that the sleeves are a little shorter than the competition, and I am beginning to see loose threads appearing around the cuffs. I have contact MH about the threads, and they said they would cover it under warranty. However, I don't currently consider the issue to be bad enough to send back especially with my upcoming schedule of events.
I bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas. It is roomy and comfortable. I love all the zippered pickets and so will he. He works outside in all kinds of weather so really needs something that will keep him warm and dry and I think this will. When I purchased it online, I didn't get my gift rewards. When I contacted Customer Support they immediately send to me. Not only great products, great prices, and great customer service but love Mossejaws sense of humor.
This is a great rain shell. It can even be worn as a ski shell with some layering underneath. I never get sweaty in it, even when it's muggy/rainy weather. It has a slightly smaller fit, so I sized up one. I would recommend if you are a medium in base layers that you get the large in this jacket as it's kind of a tighter fit. Great jacket so far, we'll see how well it holds up over the next couple of years.
"Dry. Very dry. Very very dry in really nasty rain."
Super lightweight, every zipper and pull works perfectly, and above all it's ridiculously waterproof despite it's small pack size. The pit zips are handy after heating up, and if feels highly breathable. Super comfortable, mens medium is a perfect fit for me at 5'8" & 150 lbs. Room for insulation underneath (i'm going with a micro-puff + (R3 style) MH monkey for cold times) or you could do a Patty hi loft down sweater, yet doesnt feel sloppy over just a base. Excellent light weight outer shell. As to weather the Dry Q Elite will weather the weather over time, dont know yet, but pretty psyched on having knocked a bunch of weight off my shell with the new tech.
