"This hat will keep your head warm when you need it"
So I bought this hat for ice climbing in New Hampshire. I live in a decently cold climate so I figured this hat will work for ice climbing and will double as a winter hat for running or being outside in general. The hat fit my head based on the measurements, however the shape of the hat was really uncomfortable. The bottom edge of the hat is a bit tighter than the rest of the hat, which seems to be practical. Except you really cant get a fit for the hat that is both A) comfortable and B) snug enough to stay on your head during activity. I know youre probably thinking I must have some weird kind of egg head but nope, my friend who definitely has a normal sized head also bought this hat around the same time and had the same issue. I tried using the hat on a couple jogs in the could and couldnt bear to keep it on, too uncomfortable. Kept me warm but not worth the circulation in my brain being cut off!
I got this for my husband when he lost his last fleece beanie. He loves it. His hat size is 7 3/8 and he has problems finding beanies that fit well. This one fits snugly but not too tight. He as very happy that it covers the tops of his ears and it stop the wind. His new favorite winter hat!
"Just right - not too tight or too small"
This beanie has the perfect balance of fit, warmth, and weight. The fleece along the inside base is warm, the outer fabric keeps the wind out, and the cap is light weight – fitting easily in my coat pocket. It is not too tight, so goes on easily. It is not as small as the skin tight beanies I have from Columbia and Outdoor Research so will not completely mess up your hair or cut off the circulation to your brain. It is large enough to cover your ears and not so tight that it muffles sound. It also looks good. This beanie is my new favorite winter cap.
