After doing some wussy hikes around Georgia for the first couple months with this boot, I finally got to put it to test on some long hikes in Colorado. Man, they did not disappoint! I have had some hikers that I could not trust. No grip at all! I took these out on some pretty vertical, rocky, scree hikes in Colorado and I felt like I could climb around anywhere! Stand on slick rock at a 80 degree angle? No problem! My feet weren't going anywhere while remaining comfortable in these snug boots! Little break in time! Overall, great boot! Highly recommend!

If you need a Great backpacking boot that is sturdy, rugged, tough, than this is the boot for you. The boots are sturdy and ready to use right out of the box. They are kind of stiff out of the box so you will need to break them in. But if you go hiking often, it won't take long. The boot offers great support as well as being rather comfortable for a backpacking boot. will admit, they are a bit on the heavy side. But, these boots will stand up to all the rough and rocky objects/terrain you may encounter while on the trail. Overall, definitely one of the best backpacking boots out there.
Great backpacking/trekking boot.. very sturdy, built very well! They are a bit on the heavy side but will stand up to rocks and other jagged objects you may encounter. Definitely need some time to break them in, they are super stiff right out of the box. They also felt like they are a half size bigger than boots I normally wear, I just slipped an insole in them and they were comfy. All around, a tough little boot.
