I bought this for my apartment to put above my door. I mounted it on plywood before securing it to the wall and then it was ready to go. I have had friends in the 200 LBS range test it and it has held perfectly (Do keep in mind I followed the instructions to the letter). I am able to train on it and it fills my needs wonderfully. The material is slightly rough so it does build up the callouses on my hands, but hey I am not complaining about that. Less damage when I climb. Awesome product!!!!
Such a rookie! Didn't do a house scan to ensure I had the proper placing on my walls to hold this hottie up. It is fabulous! The holds are versatile from an all hand jug, finger holds, and pull up training.

I got this to help strengthen my fingers and arms for bouldering and it's been great. The bottom row is nice and shallow, the middle row is a comfortable depth, and the top two pockets are deep. There are two slopers at the top next to the two jugs. The product was easy to install (I mounted it to the studs above my door) and works perfectly. I definitely recommend this to anyone who climbs or wants something more than a pull-up bar for arm workouts.

Awesome training board! Love the variety of holds in this compact sized board. I emphasize the word compact because there aren't a whole lot of holds if you want technical training capability. Small pockets on this are great though. Everything from jugs to two finger pockets. Fingers and tendonds always feel great after a good session. Metolius boards are awesome. I'd buy anything from them. The little pamphlet with all the training excercises is a nice touch too!! Definitely recommend!!
Bought this training board and I love it! It rocks! Has a variety of holds - sloping holds, 4-finger holds, 3, 2 and even 1-finger holds as well as jugs, etc. Comes with a great little instructional brochure on mounting and training! Just beware - that you will like it so much you will be tempted to use it daily as I was - and results in over training to your shoulders, muscles, tendons, etc. Follow Metolius's recommendation(s) of only training 1-3 sessions per week so your body can heal and rest in-between sessions.Really has the feel of rock to it!

This climbing board is perfect. Not too big not too small. It gives a range of holds and sloppers to make you push yourself in your climbing workout with diverse and crimpy holds. There are other boards that come with more holds and are bigger but this is all you need!
If you wanna build some muscle in your upper half. This is a simple way to do it. Every time I walk by this thing I do some ups. I got is like a month ago and I'm already improving. Thank you Body By Moosejaw
If you climb regularly this is a great supplemental training tool. If you can't climb at a gym you may want to invest in the simulator, the project board is a bit bare if it's all you have and the simulator is only $20 more. I mounted mine on a backboard then mounted that to the wall so it hangs lower to allow enough headroom for pull-ups. The small ledge is extremely difficult, while the jugs are comfortable enough to do pull specific exercises.The two things I wish the project board had are a third jug in the center, and a set of pinches. Between the Nicros training center articles and the 10 minute sequences by Metolius, you can keep busy on this board for days.
I love the fact that this hangboard is small enough to fit just above the door to our bedroom since the height is just 8 inches. We got this in brown and it does not stick out like a wart between the eyes. The depth of the holes are adequate for my level (I'm just a newbie) although I would have liked to have something better to work with my pinch. My wife and my 9 year old girl loves it too and I can see the difference it has made in their bouldering.
