DECENT FEATURES of the Metolius Iron Hand Full Finger Gloves
A summer-weight synthetic version of our super popular climbing glove, perfect for belaying, big wall climbing, ropes courses and via ferrata ascents
I use these for rope rescue work. They're great to wear on hot days. The fabric breathes a LOT better than my leather gloves do, but beware that the fabric of the main glove isn't super durable. If you brought these on a big wall, the fingers would probably wear pretty quickly. The reinforced patch is very durable and extends the glove life. Great glove for what it is - light weight and breathable protection for your hand on hot days.
You could measure the amount of rope I've payed out using these gloves in miles. They're great for the long haul and unlike other brands, they dont make my hands sweat.
Ok ok so I didnt use these for belaying much, I bought them while I was in Afghanistan and used them accordingly. They were perfect and offered tons of protection while having enough dexterity to perform simple needs like taking apart your weapon or eating chicken out of a pouch. They managed to make it home with me where I plan on using them on rope once the winter is kind enough to let me do so.
