"Dry, light, and fashionable!" 01/23/13
I LOVE THIS JACKET! It is so light and easy to wear. It folds up tiny for traveling or in my purse to jog after work. I've been in pouring rain with it many times and never gotten wet. The adjustable hood works perfectly to keep the hood on without looking goofy or obstructing your peripheral vision. Great jacket...I would buy it again and again!
"waterproof and bulky" 12/30/12
I have this jacket in blue. The color is vibrant and fun and the gore-tex lives up to its name. But I find this jacket to run a bit on the larger side and feels really bulky. Which is fine if you need lots of space for layering and don't care about how it looks. I wear it mostly around town in rainy Seattle, usually with a fleece or down sweater underneath and it still feels too big. I like that it is long, but it is just too boxy. I am 5'7", 130lbs and wear size small. I might need to exchange for a xsmall, but the arms might be too short then. Overall, not that satisfied.
"amazing jacket!" 11/03/12
great jacket with alot of versatility very warm but super thin so you dont end up being weighed down at all. the gore tex is amazing. make sure to wash and put it through the rinse cycle twice also you have to put it in the dryer on low heat it takes heat to activate the waterproofing in the jacket. i absolutely lovvveee this jacket!
"Super waterproof! Love it! love it! love it!" 06/28/12
This jacket looks cute, is completely waterproof and is good for just about anything! It fits well, and for me, is just big enough to wear a sweater underneath. I am confident that the next time I go hiking, if starts to rain, I will still be a happy camper :) This jacket makes it super easy to forget that it is raining outside. Again, I love it! Marmot is a lovely brand and gore-Tex is the best!
"Perfect for winter biking!" 10/01/11
I'm a year-round bike commuter, and this is my favorite winter jacket ever. It's perfect at shielding me from the fierce Chicago wind/sleet/rain/snow. I throw a performance fleece under it and it keeps me toasty warm while I bike. It's thin, yes, but when biking you really don't need that much torso insulation. The armpit zippers are a lifesaver. I'm 5'6", 150lbs and the Medium is snug, but not so snug that I want to size up. It's a surprisingly cute rain jacket, and so comfortable that it's really versatile. If you end up buying this, do yourself a favor and wear it on non-rainy days, too!
"Awesome Rain Jacket for the light traveller" 09/11/11
This jacket is perfect for those of you who want to stay dry while on the trails but dont want to shlep pounds and pounds of gear! I purchased this jacket for a backcountry hiking trip through Yellowstone and it worked a treat. The jacket is durable, light weight, and keeps me dry while not making me sweat. Just be warned, like most Marmot clothing, the minimalist jacket does run a little small, so if your planning on being able to layer underneath this I would recommend sizing up! I'm so happy with this jacket that I plan on upgrading my husband to the men's version very soon!!
"Best Jacket I've Ever Owned!" 10/29/10
I purchased this jacket to go backpacking in Europe. It's extremely lightweight and compact, which makes it perfect for backpacking. Water and wind proof, and semi warm. I throw a fleece on under it in kinda cold weather, and a lightweight down under it in snowy weather. Zipper is also nice and heavy duty, I don't see it breaking anytime soon, if ever. There's never been a time I wasn't happy with it. It's also been around the world with me and still in perfect condition.
"High Quality Waterproof Jacket" 10/03/10
This Minimalist jacket is well made.True to size according to the size chart.I'm 5'7" 128lbs and the small fits beautifully with room to layer-not for oversized guy sweaters under, but for quality baselayers(I can fit a midweight and expidition weight(at the same time)under it comfortably. It's made to be tailored so there's not excess material hanging around. That also makes it look great too- added bonus! The only thing I wish were different is the flap over the zipper-I wish the zippers were laminated w/out a need for the flap.Still love it though. Also, this is longer than most.It goes to my hips or smidge longer.
"Great Jacket!" 05/13/10
I tried this jacket in size small. I am 5'4" 123# and it was a bit too slim fitting for me. The medium arrived today and it's great. This Gore-tex jacket is designed for a woman, tapered in a the waist for a trim fit, but still plenty of room for a fleece underneath when necessary or not. I know here in Ohio I will get a lot of use out of a rain jacket!! Ha Ha Thanks Moosejaw. Very quick shipping!
