The Marmot Men's PreCip Pant waterproof pant for hiking through rainy trails. The PreCip uses NanoPro technology, a waterproof/breathable coating to keep the rain off your legs while still remaining comfortable. None of that garbage bag feeling on the inside. Side zips at the ankles make quick work of pulling them on in a sudden downpour. The zippered hand pockets and one zippered back pocket provide easy access to your pocket knife or a light snack without having to dig into your hike pants underneath. The elastic waist is comfortable and a draw cord ensures they won't fall off midway down the trail.
These work great, cheaper than the full zip version, but I liked these better. No problem putting these on over my size 12 hiking boots. This version has the drawstring top which is nice, the full length does not. Kept me dry while wearing on a 10 hour day in heavy rain and 60+ mph winds, can't speak for breathability as the temp was only in the 50s so I definitely wasn't hot. I'm 6' 225 and the XL fit well around the waist, but were way to long. Changed to the xl short version....much better without dragging the bottoms.
